worcester county: Do You Prefer the Dentist to Lawn Work? - 04/12/12 08:50 PM
Lawn Work Ranks Low on Americans’ Hit Parade of Chores!  When it comes to lawn chores, we’d rather open wide and say “ahhhh” than mow and weed.
Americans would rather see their dentist or visit their in-laws than spend time with their lawns.
In fact, we would rather do just about anything than mow, fertilize, and perform other lawn care chores, according to a Consumer Reports survey of 1,000 adults nationwide.
When asked about which tedious chore they would like to do, only 7% said lawn care. Here are the activities that ranked higher:

worcester county: 5 Things You Forgot to Clean in Your Bathroom - 04/05/12 09:42 PM
Your bathroom, one of the rooms you clean most, hides areas that rarely see a scrub brush. It’s time to tackle these 5 nasty spots you probably forgot.

But we presume you or someone else regularly swishes out the toilets, wipes out the tubs and sinks, and mops your bathroom flooring.
But you may be missing … (5 comments)

worcester county: Fannie Mae Rolls Out Online-only REO Offers – where are they in Worcester County? - 02/11/12 01:40 AM
Streamling!  I love a good system and I am hoping this works well!  Worcester County has a 184 Fannie Mae Homepath properties and now buyers can submit an offer directly online to Fannie Mae with their agent.  I am hoping this creates an efficient environment to moving these properties off the market and into the “sold” category.
“Making an offer to purchase a HomePath property is now quick, easy and entirely online! Beginning February 2, all offers on HomePath properties must be made using the HomePath Online Offer system. If you’re ready to make an offer, just have your real … (0 comments)

worcester county: New Refinance Program Targets ‘Underwater’ Owners Current on Payments - 11/30/11 12:12 PM
This seems like big news!  I was just reading this article from Orlando which is a very hard hit area of the country.
“Starting Thursday, home owners with “underwater” mortgages can apply for a new Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac refinance program geared for pretty much everyone who owes more on a home than it’s worth.
Matt Hamilton has dutifully paid the loan on his Maitland house and a Longwood rental condo, but until now he could not refinance them to obtain more affordable interest rates because the properties are financially underwater.
Starting Thursday, Hamilton and many of the other … (0 comments)

worcester county: And now for something completely different…a brief history of the business card - 11/27/11 10:10 PM

A History of Business Cards
The business card is often something placed at the back end of your wallet or in your pocket. Deemed as a small inconsequential piece of paper that is part of day to day meetings with people, the card is seldom considered more than its face value. However, these cards have a long history and an evolution many of us don’t appreciate.

17th Century Europe
Business cards began in the 17th century in Europe, where they were used to announce the impending arrival of prosperous or aristocratic people to their local town or … (2 comments)

Channel your inner MacGyver by taking advantage of one common household item the classic action hero made famous: a roll of duct tape.
