leaf peeping: I Went Leaf Peeping in Litchfield County

I went leaf peeping around Southern Litchfield County this morning, what a way to start the day! I was in New Milford, Washington and Kent, CT and it is spectacular! Get off the beaten path and wind around some of the most amazing countryside you will ever see. Here are a few of my photos, I hope to get out a few more times to get more because it is totally spectacular!Now get out there and PEEP!

It's almost here, my most favorite time of the year. You can feel it in the air, you can see the trees hinting at what is to come. The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection says peak leaf peeping in Connecticut will be from October 5 - November 13th. I am not really sure how they know that, but they are much smarter than I am I suppose. And that is less than 3 weeks away!I am lucky, no, make that blessed.
