It was announced via Inman News, that the widely popular search giant Google will no longer allow real estate listings to be uploaded to its classified listings section on Google Maps. Real estate professionals will no longer be able to upload their listings to Google Base, the company's classifieds site. Google Base is being replaced by Google Shopping APIs and that site will not support real estate listings. Consumers will no longer be able to find for sale, foreclosure or rental properties through the search function on Google Maps as they have done before. This change took effect on February 10, 2011.
