realtor: Selling-est or Service ??

Recently, I've been advertising in my local penny saver. I feel it's a great way to consistently get my name out in my community of Ronkonkoma,( Suffolk County Long Island.) It's a form of advertising that can be targeted to specific areas quickly and inexpensively. In this same publication there's one particular agent who advertises that she is the "Top selling-est Agent" in my community 2008,2007,2006,2005,2004,2003! and so,and so....and so on....(you get the picture.) My question to Consumers out there is,..Do you really care? who is the selling-est ? .....Or do you just care that "your home" will be personally serviced with the Guarantee of GETTING THE JOB … (5 comments)

Recently, I was lucky enough to attend a Seminar and earn the designation of a CHMS. For those of you that do not know what the Acronymn is the designation stands for Certified Home Marketing Specialist. (Or Home Stager) As a Realtor,...we all need to have any edge to help clients make better informed decisions, whether (buyer or seller). In today's "Buyers Market", it's an absolute must to "Stage your Home". To every Buyer and Seller there is a moment in the initial thinking?? stage of buying or selling where one ponders that all so very important question, "should I use a REALTOR® ? As REALTOR®'s we all know the value we bring to the table. As you know it is not always easier said then done,.. Attention Buyers...! As a Realtor I love working with buyers. Working in the Long Island,NY (Suffolk County Real Estate Market), I have gained some great relationships working with buyers. I too, like many other agents I know get a great deal of satisfaction when a buyer clients' dreams are fore- filled and finally get the key to their dream home and new Life ! It's very rewarding,..and oddly enough,.. all those grueling hours seem to just fade away gazing over at the happy couple on closing day.
