blogging: Top Real Estate Articles in January 2017 - 01/29/17 04:56 AM
My Best Real Estate Articles for January 2017
This month's list provides a variety of content choices for real estate consumers. A little something for buyers, sellers, and even an article with agents in mind made its way onto the list.
With my niche marketing already in-place, an opportunity to branch out has presented itself, and I have been exploring those blogging options recently. So far the results are good and new local buyers and sellers continue to call for assistance.
Here are my top real estate articles over the last month.
Home Tax Deductions - With tax season upon us, it made sense to … (25 comments)

My Best Real Estate Articles for July 2016
We never know where or how our next client will find us so it is important to write on a variety of real estate topics. Such was the case for me last month as I jumped back and forth between buyers and sellers, as well as topical and specific to my area content.
Here are a few of my top real estate articles over the last month.
Hidden House Expenses - An informative article that came about because of some mis-information I saw posted in a public Facebook Group by another agent. I have plans to … (20 comments)

My Top Real Estate Articles for June 2016
It has been an incredibly busy summer thus far with plenty of real estate activity and a couple of vacations all compressed into a short period of time. Fortunately, I carved out a little time to post a few evergreen articles on my Warner Robins Blog.
Here are a few of my top real estate articles over the last month.
Is Student Debt Holding Millennials Back - An informative article that I did a lot of research on. With a lot of millennial buyers in my market I wanted to provide them with something they … (17 comments)

blogging: Do Not Be Shy...Share Your Blogging Site Secrets! - 06/17/16 09:42 AM
Where Are You Blogging?
We are a progressive bunch here in the Rain, in the sense most of us are blogging to generate more business or at the very least more brand exposure. Some are happy with that level of exposure while others push boundaries looking for more ways to get found and called. We are good at that in my estimation, especially those that blog consistently.
What we do not always do so well is share about other places we may be blogging to increase follower-ship, leads, or to just spark more interest. Maybe it is the nature of being a small … (81 comments)

blogging: Top Real Estate Articles for April 2016 - 05/15/16 05:35 AM
My Top Real Estate Articles for April 2016
It has been a busy spring with many clients and less time online than usual. I had to force some time last month but did get a few evergreen articles posted, both on my own sellingwarnerrobins.com blog and elsewhere.
Here are a few of my top real estate articles of the last 45 days.
What Are Capital Gains - An informative article that took a bit longer to put together than I first expected. The photos ended up being a fun diversion and added a bit of levity to a serious topic. I hope many … (17 comments)

blogging: How Long is Your Online Reach? - 05/10/16 07:00 AM
Do You Want To Reach More Online Consumers?
Are you looking to get your evergreen articles in front of thousands (or more) online consumers? If so, you should seriously consider using Co-Promote to market your best content! All the details on how, what, etc. can be found on this content marketing article I posted here on ActiveRain a few months ago.
Full disclosure...the more social media followers you have, the faster your articles can and will be shared on the site, assuming you put forth a little effort (I spend 10 minutes a day sharing content on the site...that is all). You can do more … (37 comments)

blogging: More Exposure Than a Day at the Beach - 01/19/16 07:11 AM
How to Generate Interest in Your Blog
I mentioned a couple of months ago about several places were you could extend the online reach of your articles via content curation methods. Those sites are still great resources and I encourage you to follow the link and try them out.
Another outstanding way to generate a LOT of interest in your content is by showcasing other real estate professionals in articles. Why do that you ask?
Because many of those you mention in your article will share the information via their social media platforms which will in-turn drive a ton of consumers to the … (42 comments)

blogging: Are Your Online Efforts in 2015 a Success or Failure? - 11/10/15 09:58 AM
Success or Failure?
What Category Does Your 2015 Efforts Fall Into?
Each of us has a different view of the type of business year 2015 has been thus far. There are still 7 weeks left in the year, and potentially a lot of deals still to be made, but by now you should have a good idea if this year has been great, good, average, mediciore, or a complete bust due to your online efforts.
At a minimum most of us blog regularly. On the far end of the spectrum a small percentage do a lot of online things to bring new biz. … (37 comments)

Taking Your Blogging & Online Reach to the Next Level

Every once in awhile I stumble across articles that I bookmark, go back and check out in detail, and implement either in part or in whole.
Sometimes those efforts are fruitful in the way of new leads and clients and occasionally they fall short. However, in every instance, I learn something new that can help my biz.
This week I thought I would share a few articles that may provide some inspiration to help take your online efforts to the next level.
If you are not generating the number of clients you would … (36 comments)

blogging: Are You Looking for an Online Edge? - 06/29/15 09:22 AM
Let's face it, if we are blogging for business we are looking for an online edge to give us the upper hand on our local competition. Perhaps it is through blogging about a particular niche, generating the most interest via social media, or by saturating our markets with much more information than anyone else in your market.
Whatever methodology you use, gaining an advantage can make all the difference, especially in a competitive marketplace. Recently, I came across a few articles I thought were worth sharing because they are chock full of fantastic tips to help take our online presence to the … (63 comments)

Are you looking for guest blogging opportunities with the added benefit of getting more online exposure? If so, perhaps we can enter into a win-win arrangement.

I cannot guarantee you will get new business but I am confident you will get more online exposure from the article as well as a couple of quality backlinks from … (26 comments)

blogging: Whose Net Did You Slip Through?! - 05/08/15 10:41 AM
I have yet to figure out why it happens but it sometimes does. Something you write catches my attention or perhaps it is the other way around. We share pleasantries on each others posts, perhaps send emails, even an occasional call. Before you know it we are commenting on each others content on a regular basis. Through the fun posts, neighborhood information, and even the market reports, I can count on you to leave a comment and you can count on me for the same.
Then it happens. One of us misses a day. No biggie. A quick message to make sure … (62 comments)

blogging: Do You Get Noticed While Out In Public? - 04/07/15 11:35 PM
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a movie star and have throngs of fans (and paparazzi) following your every move? While I do not profess to having that kind of following in my little oasis in middle GA, I do get "noticed" on occasion and it both surprises me and pumps me up a little if I am being totally honest about it.
Most recently, a woman came up to me at the gas pump and said, "You are her, I thought so!". It startled me but I asked who she was referring to and she said … (33 comments)

blogging: Getting Your Blog Content Seen by the Masses! - 04/06/15 11:30 PM
How Do I Get My Blog Content Seen by the Masses?
Are you a new blogger? Someone who has only been at this a short time? Perhaps you are a gray beard blogger who remembers way-back-when. Whatever stage you fall in, the goal for many is to be found by real estate consumers. It is for me and I suspect it is for many of you who blog regularily on this and other platforms.
The key question becomes "HOW do I get found?". We all know about being consistent, using good SEO practices, creating a niche, and social sharing our articles to reach … (50 comments)

blogging: Is Your Blogging Diversified? - 04/05/15 06:52 AM
I think we would all agree that blogging consistently can help us get "found" online by real estate consumers. Whether we are writing content about a particular niche, providing general RE information, or showing our community expertise, with a little effort we can get the phone ringing on a regular basis. That is what we want...right?
If you have blogged for any length of time here in the Rain you have probably received those calls and perhaps even converted some of those prospects into clients. That is great!
Can you do more to get noticed online? Absolutely. Here is an easy way … (35 comments)

blogging: Putting Some of your Blogging Eggs in Another Basket - 03/15/15 11:19 AM
For those that follow my blog regularly, some of you noticed I was scant present in the Rain this weekend (thank you for the messages...I am fine).
I made myself a promise at the beginning of the year to spend more online time diversifying my reach and have been making good on that pledge. While certainly not a consecutive days record here in the Rain, this weekend represented the first time in over 3 years I did not post a daily AR blog and it felt great!
What did I do with my allotted online time instead of hanging out in the … (47 comments)

blogging: ActiveRain Most Subscribed to Bloggers List - 01/05/15 06:34 AM
For some reason, I find delight in finding websites and/or pages that are either unknown to the masses or simply overlooked. I shared one of these AR page gems a couple months ago with the ActiveRain Social Roster. Although this next page is a bit more widely known (I suspect), many may not be aware it exists so here it is.
It is the list of ActiveRain Most Subscribed to Bloggers. You can view the top 100 overall or the top 100 for each state or Canadian area. Sadly, these Rainers actual number of followers is not listed on the page, so … (52 comments)

blogging: Why do I Blog? - 09/12/10 05:46 AM
After reading some very intriguing blog posts this past month it got me thinking about why I blog.  As a newbie to this "social media thing", I'm still feeling my way around, but couldn't have imagined myself EVER spending my free time posting, commenting, or reading ANYTHING on a blog.  Yet, here I am.
So, after a little self analysis, below are the top reasons I blog (in no particular order).
It relaxes me.  Who knew?  After a long day in this dog-eat-dog real estate world, blogging helps me calm down and refocus my energy.  I'm competitive.  I've never really seen … (9 comments)
