Good golly, did you know there are over 1.5 billion Facebook users in the world? You can bet there are possibly thousands in your area and perhaps up to 100+ who are ready or nearly ready to buy or sell a home. Even if you only get 3% of that share each month/quarter because of your FB presence, that equates to a lot of money for no or very little investment. Someone will convert those FB leads into clients...it might as well be you Rainers!

This industry is incredibly fun and equally frustrating at times! This week it has been deals made, buyers with cold feet, home inspection issues, new listings, a new Coldwell Banker platform to deal with, as well as a couple of closings. The one constant not just this week but all year for me has been social media use.

I recently attended a social media event and when the topic of Facebook marketing came up I was a little surprised at some of the comments I heard from agents around me. Facebook marketing does not work! No one serious about buying or selling a home uses Facebook to find an agent to help them! Consumers in my niche market do not use Facebook! Hogwash!!!

I have been cruising down the information superhighway this month with plenty of stop overs at my favorite social media sites and blogging locales with good success. The floodgates opened more than usual this week and I had a host of not-quite-ready, looky-loo, and nosey neighbor pings via social media channels. I took some time this week refreshing an older article on my WP site, then gave it a quick FB boost to drive some traffic to my main site. While it did not result in new clients it did generate another guest post opportunity on a national site. The backlink to my site will be well worth the $20 spent on the ad. Facebook marketing is a waste of time some say. Running Facebook Ads is just throwing your money away I have heard others exclaim.
