facebook: Facebook Fridays - The Social Media Tree Is Ripe! - 03/28/17 03:25 PM

~ Facebook Marketing Tips ~
No clue. None. That was me earlier this week as I was asked by a local agent to help with a specific aspect of their Facebook presence. I felt bad because I was not able to fully assist.
Despite our involvement with social media or perceived expertise, the reality is, there are times when we just do not have the answers. If you have felt that way about FB or some other social media platform, do not give up, because you are not alone! Keep working at it...the answers will come.

facebook: Facebook Fridays - Frustrated, Fretting, or Finally! - 03/22/17 02:28 PM

~ Facebook Marketing Tips ~
It can be incredibly difficult to keep up with all the social media trends, updates, and enhancements. It can be even more difficult to interpret and implement some of those changes. The best advice I can share with you is to take the time to learn as much about the change or process as you can, then take it slowly as you install/setup so you do not miss a step, and finally do some testing once completed to ensure you are getting the results you are expecting. Do that every time and avoid FB frustration!

facebook: Facebook Fridays - To Schedule Or Not To Schedule? - 03/07/17 02:23 PM

~ Facebook Marketing Tips ~
Let's face it, for many of us it is very difficult to keep up with our social media marketing. It can be hard to find the time to socialize, promote, and engage let alone keep up with the nearly constant barrage of changes. While I cannot help you do the first 3 (perhaps a V.A. is needed?!) this weekly series does provide tips galore on how to best use existing and new FB features. Try out the advice, Rainers.
Did you know...According to Facebook, they had 1.23 billion daily active users (on average) in December 2016. That is … (45 comments)

facebook: Facebook Fridays - Getting A Time Slice of the Facebook Pie - 03/01/17 03:21 PM

~ Facebook Marketing Tips ~
It is exciting when you get a Facebook IM or post from a follower who wants you to help them buy/sell a home. It is validation your approach and efforts are paying off. If this is not periodically happening to you, it may be time to re-evaluate your FB marketing techniques. That may include hiring someone short-term to get you back on the right path.
Did you know the average amount of time a FB user stays on the site is 20 minutes (according to Infodocket)? If you marketing on Facebook, you want a slice of that time!

facebook: Facebook Fridays - Let's Trade FB Pages So I Can Like Me! - 02/23/17 04:49 AM

~ Facebook Marketing Tips ~
The title is tongue-in-cheek so do not think I have let my modest FB success go to my head. In fact, I am always looking for new ways to improve my brand exposure and generate new prospects and you should be as well. We do it here in the Rain and on our own sites and it should be an actionable task we maximize on the social media platforms we use as well.
When Is the "ideal" day/time to post on Facebook? According to Bit.ly blog it is the middle of the week between 1p.m. and 3p.m. Try it … (37 comments)

facebook: Facebook Fridays - Honk If You Think I'm Sexy! - 02/15/17 02:25 PM

~ Facebook Marketing Tips ~
Let's face it, one of the drawbacks of marketing on social media and having an online presence is the occasional appearance of creepers. Whether they text, call, IM, or send other messages, they can be a real nuisance. The best approach I have found is to ignore them, block them, and contact the social media outlet to have them removed. If you have found yourself in this situation, what approach did you take?
Hey...Did you notice Facebook made changes to their ads this past week (including the ability to use GIFs)? The News Feed algorithm got updated too.

facebook: Facebook Fridays - Fun Facts & Feasible Functionality - 02/01/17 04:32 PM

~ Facebook Marketing Tips ~
Did you know Facebook turns 13 tomorrow? In that short amount of time they have amassed nearly 1.9 billion monthly users and upwards of 1.2 billion daily mobile users.
The largest demographic of users are in the 25 to 34 age range and on average users spend 20 minutes on the platform per session (all statistics via zephoria.com). If we are actively trying to increase our brand exposure and grow our biz, can we really afford not to be on this platform?!
There are 5 excellent Rainers again this week for you to go visit on Facebook. I … (33 comments)

facebook: Facebook Fridays - Learning to Stay Out of FB Trouble - 01/25/17 02:30 PM

~ Facebook Marketing Tips ~
I have seen a lot of FB Personal Pages listed on AR profiles lately. Just a reminder that Facebook prefers we keep our business related information on our fan pages, not our personal FB profiles. They have been pretty lax about this area of their Terms-of-Service but you never know when/if they will start enforcing it. Follow their guidelines and it will never be an issue. Just sayin'!
Happy, Happy Happy! That's what I am this week as I get to showcase the 5 Rainer FB pages listed below. They range from establishing a foothold to advanced user. … (38 comments)

facebook: Facebook Fridays - Getting Distracted By Ho, Ho Hum - 12/20/16 07:37 AM

~ Facebook Marketing Tips ~
Are you experiencing an increase in social media activity this week? I sure am and attribute it to a) Many are off work and have free time b) I have not let-up with my online marketing efforts. Getting real estate related questions/comments/inquiries on various social media outlets is always appreciated and an affirmation our efforts are noticed. Being active gives us the best opportunity to be found!
Have you done any special social media marketing with the holidays in mind? Tried something new over the last few months to generate new leads/clients going into 2017? Share your creative ventures … (13 comments)

facebook: Facebook Fridays - Is Your Marketing Laser Focused? - 12/14/16 04:12 PM

~ Facebook Marketing Tips ~
I spent very little time on ActiveRain this week, instead I allocated a lot of time to catch up on content curation, social media marketing, and an upcoming long-form article on my WP site. Days where I can spend an abundance of time laser focused on only a few key tasks are always appreciated and helpful.
Whatever action(s) you took this week to grow your brand and increase your online exposure, I hope it/they included plenty of social media activity. Do not wait for buyers and sellers to find you...go seek them out first!
As always, there are 5 … (19 comments)

~ Facebook Marketing Tips ~
I have been stalking you! Yes YOU! For many of you, I have been visiting your Facebook biz pages for a couple of years and am thrilled you have really embraced FB marketing and are seeing results. Return on investment vs resources spent to attract new prospects on this platform can be incredibly positive and I hope you are having success for the actions you are taking.
Still not seeing the results you would like? I would recommend you follow some of your fellow Rainer pages (coincidently I provide 5 new ones each week) for your review. ;-) … (29 comments)

~ Facebook Marketing Tips ~
All tuckered out after a Thanksgiving feast? Perhaps you are groggy from Black Friday shopping? Maybe the travel, meal prep, too much entertaining, or an overload of clients have got you trying to catch your breath this week? If you are fortunate enough to feel refreshed, kudos to you!
Whatever your state-of-mind/being is, this weekend is a very good time to get back on track with your FB marketing. I am committed to keep pushing hard as we near the end of 2016...are you?

facebook: Facebook Fridays - Rinse and Repeat Your Way To New Biz - 10/19/16 08:02 AM

~ Facebook Marketing Tips ~
I have done a few $20 FB ads the past couple of months trying to find the right blend to get some of my listings more exposure. What has been working well for me is drilling down to a specific local audience, in fact, one of my FB ad listings is contracted as a result of buyers seeing the ad and following the link to see the home. It does not always work that easily but it can be a successful form of marketing, especially if you are willing to invest a little time determining what works … (30 comments)

facebook: Facebook Fridays - Are You Shooting Blanks or Magic Bullets? - 10/05/16 06:28 AM

~ Facebook Marketing Tips ~
I get asked often what is my #1 tip for generating leads via FB. I wish it was as easy as providing one magic bullet tip so everyone could quickly and easily prosper. What I have found is it takes a combination of things to consistently generate FB leads. They include:
Develop content readers want to see Create actionable posts Engage with everyone who visits Mix up your approach (all biz all the time gets boring) Be active in local FB groups, occasionally sharing your content Share engaging photos/video Advertise via FB Pretty much the same 7 … (39 comments)

facebook: Facebook Fridays - Do Not Keystroke Away New Biz! - 09/28/16 07:56 AM

~ Facebook Marketing Tips ~
I saw a reputable local biz implode on Facebook earlier this week because they refused to keep their personal politcal views off their FB biz page. All it took was a few comments, a few anti-comments, and their page was blowing up with a ton of negativity. They did not respond well to the criticsm and the pile-on got worse. I have no way of knowing how much future biz they may have lost, but there were some pretty irate locals, so I suspect their revenue from FB clients will take at least a temporary hit.

facebook: Facebook Fridays - The Devil is in the Details! - 09/07/16 09:35 AM

Facebook Marketing Tips
I am always a bit perplexed when I visit a Facebook Biz Page that has lots of activity but has no phone contact or website listed on the About tab. Now would be a great time to take a minute and go make sure you have made it easy for consumers to contact you and find your website (where I presume most of us really want buyers and sellers to visit). It is easy to overlook but even easier to resolve.
Speaking of details...with fall and the holidays approaching, it may be a good time to start thinking about updating … (67 comments)

facebook: Facebook Fridays - What Are You Expecting? - 08/24/16 07:47 AM

Facebook Marketing Tips
Facebook has made a host of updates in the past few months to improve user experience and perform overall site clean-up. They always get a lot of flak when they make changes but I actually like their periodic updates. It means they are actively working on the site and trying to improve both performance and competitiveness with other social media platforms. Way to go FB staff!
Occasionally we need to mix things up as well. For those who are struggling to get leads from their/your FB presence, it may be time to try a new approach. The platform works but … (49 comments)

facebook: Facebook Fridays - Going for the Gold! - 08/10/16 09:17 AM

Facebook Marketing Tips
A few clicks is literally all it takes to setup a Facebook ad to get your listing a lot more local exposure, your new article some attention, and your brand plenty of new views. Save your pennies up and take a $20 plunge to see what develops. Getting your information in the hands (or at least the screens) of thousands of local consumers has never been easier on FB.
With the Olympics in full swing, many consumers are actively using social media to share in the excitement and keep up with the latest from Brazil. It is a good opportunity … (25 comments)

facebook: Facebook Fridays - 2 Billion Reasons to Market on FB - 07/27/16 08:29 AM

Facebook Marketing Tips
Social media, and Facebook in general, are outlets many use to share their personal views on a range of social, economic, environmental, and political topics, many of which are controversial and/or hot for debate. If you feel you must engage in discussions on topics that can boil over, use your personal FB page, not your biz page.
Consumers who are visiting our biz pages want to buy/sell houses and are looking for an agent to assist, not read about our strong personal opinions on non-real estate topics (it is hard enough to attract new prospects/clients...the last thing we should … (22 comments)
