Wow, talk about getting your panties bunched up this week! I have read several posts on various platforms this week (AR included) that have bashed using FB as part of our online marketing model. Hey, to each their own! Every competitor not using it is one less we have to be concerned with on this medium. If FB is good enough for 1.3 billion users worldwide, you can bet this girl is going to tap into that resource to generate new leads and I encourage you to do the same! ;-)

I went to a recent local real estate seminar where I heard the following comments from some in the crowd when the instructor starting talking about how Facebook can be an effective online marketing tool, "I quit using Facebook in 2012 because it never generated any business for me", "I want to guard my privacy and will not consider Facebook in my marketing", and "It is a waste of time...no one uses Facebook anymore". With each passing comment all I could think of was the song "Another One Bites The Dust" by Queen!

Many FB users have been up in arms this year because Facebook has been tweaking its algorithms. Users are especially upset about what gets seen (or not) on the news feed and the direct impact it has on our/their organic reach. That's OK I say, tweak away! Huh, say what?

You noticed it, right? Please tell me you saw it? Well...did ya? I noticed and I'm not overly observant so I am sure that many of you must have caught it! What is IT? It's the roll-out of the new Facebook Fan Pages that was automatically pushed to users earlier this week.
Personally, I like the new layout a lot and think it is long overdue. All our biz stuff is aligned on the left with our FB content positioned on the center-right. What do you think of the new look?

Late in 2013, FB "turned on" their Ratings and Reviews feature for desktop users (mobile users have had this capability since 2012) which was immediately met with mixed opinions.
