move to phoenix: Moving to Phoenix - 12/09/20 03:47 PM

Wow!  It has been months and months and months since Phoenix AZ has had any measurable amounts of rain.  Tomorrow December 10th there is a 80% chance of rain! Yes!!  Leave it to 2020 to create rain in December for us Phoenicians. This is going to be great!  All the flowers and bushes will love getting some rain. I love the rain!

Maybe it's going to snow on Christmas this year. The kids would love that!    But our visiting snowbirds......not so much! They're in Phoenix to get out of the snow and cold and to buy a winter home!

move to phoenix: Thankful Thursday Gorgeous Weather in Phoenix - Move to Phoenix Time! - 11/05/20 12:11 PM

The summer/fall of 2020 in Phoenix has been an unusual year in many respects. Our summer temperatures set a record both in length and temperature. I think there were over 143 days over 110 and  about 20 or so days over 115.  There hasn't ever been a year that has come close to this record.

Normally our Phoenix summer has some hot days but it's tolerable. Sure it's hot, but it never went on and on and on like it did this year. I hope this doesn't happen for another 100+ years.

You know you might be from Phoenix Arizona if...

It's pretty easy to spot a Phoenician. And it's even easier to spot a visitor!

Business attire is laid-back & casual unless you're an attorney in court. Really, I can count on one hand the number of times I've seen an agent in a suit. I don't think I even own a suit jacket other than a few laid back styles that are clearly Arizona Style (like the one in my picture below). I was a suit gal from my college days in Minnesota. I probably owned 8 or 10 really nice wool … (28 comments)

move to phoenix: Phoenix Arizona is a wonderful place to call Home! - 08/28/11 12:27 PM
Phoenix Arizona is a wonderful place to call Home!

After watching the news the last few days keeping abreast of what's going on with Hurricane Irene we're looking forward to a peaceful evening  here in Phoenix Arizona.  Many folks talk about how hot it gets in Phoenix during a few months of the summer - and they're right.  We hole up in our homes or offices as much as possible - until night comes. And then it's our time to head to the pool, cool off, relax and feel grateful for the good life we live. It may be quite warm for a few summer … (9 comments)

move to phoenix: Peoria Arizona Homes - Small Town Living with Big City Amenities - 05/15/09 07:34 AM
Founded in the 1880s, Peoria is a suburban community located about 11 miles from Central Phoenix, named for after the hometown of families from Peoria, Illinois, who moved to the area to work the fertile land created by the Arizona Canal.
One of its best-known attributes is the Peoria Sports Complex, Cactus League Spring Training home to the San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners. In addition to sports, however, Peoria has quietly built a reputation for bringing arts and culture to the West Valley.  According to GreatSchools.net, Peoria has some of the best schools in the West Valley.
Today, the city is home to some 85,000 residents … (0 comments)
