Many of you know my love of hiking and simply being outside to enjoy nature. It's been my 'meditation' every day. for years. I started hiking when I moved to Vail CO after college and just never stopped. Who knew I'd turn into a hiker when I really was a skier, tennis and racquetball player and golfer!  Hiking got into my blood. And then I had to stop hiking.

My Dad always used to say  anytime I was dealing with a challenge as a kid - It builds character so be thankful for it!  Well Ok Dad.....I trust I have plenty of character by now!
He's on the other side now and is probably smiling and sending me good energy!

To say the start of 2014 has been a bit topsy turvy for me personally is an understatement.
