Top Economists Say Recovery Has Begun Economic recovery is about making people feel more confident, says Mark Zandi, chief economist of Moody's Economy.com. Zandi evidenced increasing home sales and gains in the stock market are some promising signs that the worst is over and people will start spending again."We're starting to see some pent-up demand for goods," he says.But Zandi warns that the situation is still fragile. I cannot begin to say enough great things about a local website developed to keep the community informed of upcoming events, local news, and just about anything else that goes on in our area. I had a day full of showings this past weekend for a buyer client. When I say full I mean 9-5 with a quick lunch break of nothing but touring houses. Among the 15+ homes we saw there were a few that truly deserve to be blogged about. Now let me say that I am not a "strict" agent and I can see past most things but in this day in age, EVERY effort should be made, especially when I give a full days notice of the showing. Thanks to all our police, soldiers, fire fighters etc. I was sitting at the light at 42 & Cleveland School this afternoon when I noticed a truck sitting in the turn lane had caught fire. The men in the truck and everyone around took off running (as we would all do). Not a minute later I see a HP emerge from his car and run towards the vehicle with a fire extinguisher to put out the flanes.
