Ah sunsets.  So relaxing, so mesmerizing.  We are looking out towards the pacific ocean and the "West Side" of LA.  I'm sure that is obvious to anyone who realizes that the sun does in fact set in the west.  Well, I just like to be thorough.  Anyway, I was once again right smack dab in the middl...

We are looking at the high country of the Angeles National Forest.  This photo was taken from the roof of the Griffith Observatory which, as you can probably tell from my previous posts, is a great place to gaze out upon some pretty amazing views.  You can also see a couple of different Griffith...

This is a post storm picture.  This particular day was filled with thunder, lightning and heavy rain but ended with sights like this.  While this was going on in LA the east coast was bogged down with blizzard conditions.  It's nice to have a robust storm here every once in a while, it makes us ...

I shot this right next to the Vincent Gap trailhead.  I thought about hiking the trail but decided against it.  As you can see there is a lot of snow covering everything, including the trail itself.  Yes, this is just outside of LA but people get lost in these mountains all the time.  I like adv...

Griffith Park is loaded with trails.  You can get to the top of any given peak a handful of ways.  You can once again see the Griffith Observatory in the background. It is just such a good subject.  It looks good in any kind of light.  I can't resist taking a million pictures of it.

As you can probably tell, I like the Griffith Observatory...a lot.  This is taken from one of the many trails that surround the building.  This was a spectacular end to another awesome LA day.  It was in the high sixties and a little breezy.  Really, just perfect for winter.  Cold enough to mayb...

This is a welcome break from a storm that lasted for almost a week.  This is once again taken from the Griffith Observatory.  If you live in Los Feliz then you know how local this place is.  It feels nice to be next to some high ground.  Not to get too "new age-y" [sic] but it's moments like thi...

LA is a great storm city.  The local media would have you think that Armageddon was approaching, but everything stays nice and mild.  Yes, there will be some wind and rain and the temperature might drop to, heaven forbid, the fifties.  The cloudscapes that roll through are breathtaking.  Griffit...
