Maine is known for awe-inspiring sunrises and sunsets. This sunset was just a few weeks ago, captured by a client that can walk across the street and catch this kind of view on a nightly basis. I don't know about you, but I would NEVER tire of seeing such a magnificant display of nature.
Featured here is Loon Pond, one of the many lakes to be found in southern Maine, specifically in Acton, Maine. Loon Pond is comprised of about 95 acres, with a maximum depth of 10 feet. Boating, fishing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and observing overwhelming views such as this (0 comments)
Acton, Maine is but a blip on the radar of Maine. Comprised of only around 1500 residents, it is a favorite of visitors to Maine due to the wealth of water around the town. Between Acton, Newfield, Shapleigh there are 22 lakes/ponds of varying sizes. One of those larger bodies is Balch Lake.
According to www.lakesofmaine.org ,Balch Lake encompasses about 577 acres, and shares shores with both Maine and New Hampshire. With a mean depth of 12 feet and 44 feet at it's deepest, Balch is home to some great fishing! Looking for Small or Largemouth Bass - this is the (0 comments)
