I made up my mind, long before entering this line of work, that my work had to represent integrity. In order to do anything well, you have to be able to sleep at night.      In my former life, I managed fast-food restaurants. The kids who worked for me would ask for raises having done nothing (other than being on the payroll) to earn more compensation. I was often required to give them, what I have since come to describe as "the gum-ball speech". The gum-ball speech, started by reminding them of the commitment they made to show up on time, provide fast friendly service and continue the learning required to become cross-trained and able to work in all the crew … (2 comments)

For you sailors in the crowd, you'll recognize this helmsmans cry for when he is turning the craft on a new tack.  The cry "Helms alee!!" warns all hands to hang on, as the ship will tilt and rise at a new direction and angle of the wind.   I have been taken to task regarding the content of my last post as it was self-promoting in nature.  Upon rereading it, the second half definitely contained self-promotion and I offer my regrets to those who take offense at such words.  It seems I buried the lead.

Considering all the advancements in technology (email, text messaging, internet blogging) and the search engines who direct us all from here to there to find goods and services, I have always preferred to remain loyal.  Both to the people who provide services to me and to those who utilize my services.  I seem drawn to these types of business associates and them to me.  Once they have utilized my services and seen the differences a professional signing agent can make in handling their closings, loyalty has been established.
