The northern edge of the Sonoran Desert often has the reputation of being a barren place with very little to offer in terms of vegetation save for the famous saguaro cactus whose bloom is the state flower of Arizona. Interestingly, with the rain that we have experienced down here this winter, we have seen all kinds of vegetation poking through including wild daisies which love to spring up on the hillsides.
