Relay For Life®, the American Cancer Society's signature event, is a fun-filled experience designed to bring together those who have been touched by cancer. At Relay, people from within the community gather to celebrate survivors, remember those lost to cancer, and to fight back against this disease. Relay participants help raise money and awareness to support the American Cancer Society in its lifesaving mission to eliminate cancer as a major health issue. Once again the Staten Island Board of Realtors was a proud sponsor of this years Relay for life event . It was held on June 8th and 9th 2007 at the Wagner college campus SI, NY . This event is held yearly, it is a wonderful touching event. Every year there is a theme, this year was the Italian feast. Most of the participants pitch tents and stay overnight. People walk or run around the track all night long. The American Cancer society along with their volunteers always do such a great job making sure the event is successful.
