I recently did a blog here on AR for a local non profit animal sanctuary called "A Chance for Bliss". This wonderful sanctuary is in foreclosure and many area supporters have tooted their horn to promote funding for this exceptional animal ranch that gives these creatures a forever home to live out their life. This is probably one of the most important aspects in Staging and Selling a home. You must draw that person out of the car, unto the sidewalk and up to the front door. Color, landscaping, walkway, driveway, neighbors... all give a feel to the home. In order to show the home to a global buyer, it must look pristine from the street to the doorknob. Where DO we take the hit? Add those fees, whoopee! This year presents a tough market for everyone. Realtors are discounting their service, homeowners are dropping prices.... Stagers are... well, where can we take the hit? Many times I get asked why the first month of my Staging is more expensive (or rather, why the second month was more affordable... staying positive here), than subsequent months. The Initial first month payment is the largest because it has all the "service" fees attached. (Delivery and pick-up, packing, set-up, wrapped walls if needed, damage waiver fee, TAXES, next comes my Staging, de-Staging and assistants … (20 comments)

Those pesky insects really are smart. They know when you hear them, it starts a frenzy, that humans are reminded that Spring is here and they need to get ready for those buzzing mosquitoes. They really are not all that bad really. It does remind you of Spring, it does remind you of preparation (going to the store to buy repellent) and.... they seem to be right there when you least expect them.
