help: A Chance for Bliss 5K Fun Run in Loomis, Ca : Donations still needed! - 12/20/09 12:42 PM
The first annual 5K Fun Run Doggie Walk was held today starting at Baker's Nursery on Taylor Road. This run will benefit a local animal sanctuary "A Chance For Bliss" who's owners are desperately trying to save their animal ranch. This wonderful sanctuary is in foreclosure and many area supporters have tooted their horn to promote funding for this exceptional animal ranch that gives these creatures a forever home to live out their life. Local Veterinarians, volunteers, and area businesses have donated their services to this very unique ranch that offers dignity, and love in the final years of life.

help: ActiveRain in the spotlight :: Will you help a Chance for Bliss? - 11/23/09 12:15 PM
I recently did a blog here on AR for a local non profit animal sanctuary called "A Chance for Bliss".
We have been noted in their newsletter as "Active Rain (the largest real estate network) friends to help the sanctuary."  Lets' show them the true … (4 comments)

help: How my teaching has helped my staging…. “Out of the Mouths of Babes.” - 11/17/09 03:16 PM

Most of you know that I have 2 jobs... my 5th grade class and my staging and design work.  I have done this now for over 5 years and have built a very successful staging business besides my 9 to 4 teaching commitments.  To me, these are 2 full time jobs.
How do I do it?  I get my initiative, my drive, and my focus the hearts of the kids. I truly owe it all to them for helping me to continue my focus.  They inspire me to do my best, to be the best at what I need … (16 comments)

help: In the Spirit of Giving :: Continuing Hope and A Chance for Bliss - 10/25/09 06:34 AM

I am calling upon my ActiveRain friends to stop just for a moment and think about how you can help others this season. We have over 162,962 members. Can you just imagine if everyone just donated $1 this year to help an organization? Even by breaking into groups( ie: Realtors, Stage it Forward, The Art of Marketing You, etc.), we could make a huge difference in many different non-profit organizations who are struggling. These types of organizations depend soley on donations. Most have no paid staff and rely exclusively on contributions. The smaller, local organizations are being the hardest hit.

help: Local RESA members help Sacramento's Homeless Women - 06/13/09 02:04 PM

Today's homeless in Sacramento are houseless, and some are even placeless or transient. Many are also without a family. Some have been hit hard by the economic crisis and are forced to live on the streets. Single people, couples, and families are struggling to survive. With the displacement of "Tent City", this possesses another problem of where these people should go. St. John's Church, Loaves and Fishes, and Mustard Seed School are several Sacramento agencies that have opened their doors to help. One agency SSHH, or Sacramento Self-Help Housing, has secured 3 and 4 bedroom housing where 4 people … (11 comments)

help: Touch him with your heart. Please help if you can. - 05/23/09 05:36 AM
I received a heartfelt email the other day from a friend in one of my animal groups. She is a breeder of some wonderful and very loving Rotties. One of her best dogs needs immediate hip surgery. Anyone out there knows that this can be very expensive. Patti has worked hard to promote some very amazing dogs and she needs some help with this. Can you help give him a chance to continue living?

This is Stryker.  He is an absolute joy to work with! He has a ton of drive, but amazing focus and trainability. Traits you don't often … (3 comments)
