Working in a field with thousands of other agents does it matter to the buyer or the seller which Real Estate company you work for?
It most certainly does! It is more and more apparent to me everyday that not only do I have to be the best in my areas of expertise, but the Real Estate company I work for and the people I surround myself with must be just a capable.
Does a name sell homes. NO, but it does get people in the door, people who come to me with confidence knowing I will serve them with a higher level of knowledge and competency.

It's another case of the "Cold Weather buyers". The first northern cold and signs of snow and the Florida market starts to ROAR! Bring it on, we say.
October and November historically have been good months for Real Estate in Fort Myers Florida (for me anyhow). How are sales looking in you area????
We have hundreds of homes available under $100,000...But the number of buyers is so great the absorption rate is steadily increasing.

real estate: How important are Name Tags? - 02/24/08 12:43 PM
As an example of how important it is to wear your name tag, I frequent the local Credit union to make deposits and a teller who I see fairly regularly saw my Remax Realty Group name tag, Well she also just so happened to be a Buyer. Although she has know me for weeks (she is new to the bank) she was not aware that I am a Realtor. She knows now that I am a full time Real Estate agent and we are putting a deal together for her and her family to purchase a home through my team.

I have a Key-west style home located in Tidewater Island a very desirable gated community. I posted it yesterday and got some feedback about not having any pictures. Well I tried to put the picture on and It keeps coming out too big. If any of you know how I can make the picture smaller so it does not occupy the whole blogging area I would sure appreciate your comments.

I will be featured in the Real Estate Section of the Fort Myers News-Press. Our local newspaper. The article was written on the State of the Market and pertains to what can be purchased for the price point of $200-300K in the Lee County area versus 2005.  The article will be in the Sunday edition February 24th 2008
 As we all know the prices have significantly dropped creating a true buyers market. The difference in a $200,000 dollar home now compared to 2005 is dramatic and that price home was very hard to find in Fort Myers/Cape Coral then. Now if … (2 comments)

real estate: Sudden surge of Activity the last week? - 11/27/07 02:24 PM
Something is going on here in Ft Myers Fl! The last week there has been a lot of activity by both phone and email. Has anybody else noticed this? I have made 3 appointments for residential homes  in 3 days, and can see through the statistics on my website that more people have logged on in the last week than in the whole rest of the month Nov.
I think this is a very good sign and hope it continues this way. I would like to hear about other realtors statistics and if you have noticed more activity on your website!

real estate: Anybody ever hear of burying a St. Joesph statue to sell a home - 11/07/07 03:01 AM
Just wondering how many people have heard of this and have you actually tried it? The story is if you are having a hard time selling your home to purchase a St. Joesph statue and bury him in the front yard of the home or land you are trying to sell. The rumor is it is very effective and really works. After you sell the home you then dig up the statue and place him in a prominent place in your new home to show your appreciation of his help.
Have you done this? How long did it take until the home sold?
