sandia heights: Albuquerque Area Real Estate Short Sale Update From Pete Veres CDPE Certified Agent - 12/20/09 02:07 AM
It seems that there are more foreclosures on the way but there are also many options to avoid foreclosure that is not discussed with homeowners going into default.
CNN Money recently wrote an article that 1 in 4 mortgages are underwater. Their report showed that 10.7 million borrowers are stuck with homes that are worth less than the mortgages they owe. One of the biggest problems is that lenders did not discuss the "BIG Picture" about loans when people were looking to buy a home. They were selling super low rates and buyers were looking at how much home can I get … (0 comments)

sandia heights: Sandia Heights, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87122 - First Snow Fall - 10/28/09 09:12 AM
Well, Sandia Heights saw their first snow of the year. Rumors are that El Nino http://www.elnino.noaa.gov/ will have a great impact on the amount of snow we will see. This means we should have a great ski season with lots of fresh and fluffy powder in the higher elevations, usually avove 8500 feet.
What many people don't realize is that our top ski areas in New Mexico have base elevations of our 10,000feet with the peaks over 12,000 feet. This in combination with our high desert climate provided some excellent powder skiing.
Another great asset to Albuquerque is that you can ski … (2 comments)

sandia heights: Albuquerque Area Market Update - still going strong - 10/15/09 03:20 AM
Can you believe it that it is already October 2009? I will never forget when I was 16 years old and an older gentleman told me " Son, enjoy your life nw because as you get older time seems like it moves faster every year". How true!
Here in Albuquerque we continue to be blessed with a good market. Are closed sales are up this month, our inventory is stable and we are seeing some excellent activity in the $120,000-$250,000 range. This has really been fueled by the $8000.00 Tax Credit which we hope will be extended for all buyers.
