home stager in atlanta georgia: Atlanta Home Stager - Home Staging FAQ's: - 10/20/12 11:40 PM
I recently added the following new page to my website and thought it might be of value to the Active Rain community as well.  Q. How effective is home staging? A. Home staging is an extremely effective marketing tool as it helps separate your home or listing from the others on the market. Equally important - buyers are beginning their search using the Internet. A well staged home will stand out and help to ensure your home makes the buyers short list of homes to see. Once there, a staged home "feels" good and allows the potential buyer to further connect with … (2 comments)

home stager in atlanta georgia: How To Compose and Style a Marketable Image - 09/20/12 11:41 PM
How To Compose and Style a Marketable Image
For those that follow my post either here in Active Rain or my blog on my home staging website, you know that I'm a huge fan of taking close-ups. Most of the time, I'm taking the depth of field images and other times, it's a simple close-up picture.
Outside of putting them on my website, I wasn't leveraging the marketing opportunities that exist with these images. It wasn't until last month, when I decided to change up my AR Signature, that I realized I could do much more with them. You can see the … (12 comments)

home stager in atlanta georgia: No. I Don't Stage My Photos - 11/07/11 12:10 AM
Yes. I'm a Home Stager who stages homes all throughout metro Atlanta. But, no - I don't stage my photos.
There was a post recently by an agent who had asked if we, as stagers, ever stage our photos. More specifically, the question was whether or not we change up an area within the home specific for the MLS listing photos. My response was no. I'm more of a what-you-see-is-what-you-get kinda girl. In other words, the photos I capture are always how the room appears if you were to see the home in person.
Why? Personally, I feel it's important for … (16 comments)

home stager in atlanta georgia: Is Your Home Capturing the Buyers Off the Internet? - 06/15/11 02:05 AM
Is Your Home Capturing the Buyers Off the Internet?
If your home is on the market, one of the most important things you can do is to ensure your home stands out on the Internet. Why? Because home buyers are using the Internet to create the list of homes they want to see in person. The better the photo, the more traffic you'll have.
In the case of this home (see before picture below), the room appears dark and dreary and the window treatments are actually a detriment. Should that have been the photo used, it's likely buyers wouldn't be inclined … (24 comments)

home stager in atlanta georgia: Home Staging for an Atlanta Investors Before and After Pictures - 02/10/11 11:36 PM
Home Staging for an Atlanta Investors Before and After Pictures.
I've had the good fortune of working with this Atlanta Investor for the past three years. He made the decision, way back when, that each and every home he purchased will be professional home staged by HomeStagingAtlanta.com. Our track record, in getting homes sold quickly, is absolutely phenomenal. I honestly cannot take all the credit. He has a superb team that handles all the renovations (of which I get to participate in by making decisions on interior and exterior paint color, etc.) and they get the job done right.
Here are a … (19 comments)

Home Staging Atlanta - Master Bedroom Makeover

Over the years, I've seen my fair share of red rooms. But honestly, I don't recall ever having seen one this red.  I remember when I first walked in the door having the immediate need to take two steps back.  The red was overwhelming.  Here's what I mean (see below).
The home was going on the market in a weeks time. The number one change was pretty obvious.  In addition, the agents had recommended Home Staging Atlanta, Georgia Interior Solutions, to help set the mood.
Here's how the room appeared before staging and … (24 comments)

home stager in atlanta georgia: Tips for Preparing Your Home For the Market - 01/18/10 11:35 PM
It's likely that most sellers know of the importance of the three C's (clutter, clean and curb appeal) when preparing their home for the market.  These three things will always play an important role when it comes to getting a house show-ready.
However, there are three R's (re-arrange, resist and refresh) that you can help take your efforts a notch up and truly help set your home apart from the others on the market.
As a professional home stager in Atlanta, here are a few things I share with my occupied homeowners I work with:
Rearrange - Showcase the features as … (9 comments)

home stager in atlanta georgia: Home Stagers - Post Your Favorite BEDROOM Before & After Picture - 12/30/08 05:56 AM
Home Stagers - Post your favorite BEDROOM Before & After Pictures.
Here's mine.  This set of before and after pictures is perhaps one of my all time favorites!
I had been contacted by the Realtor for a new sub division located near Camp Creek here in Atlanta.  The builder was just starting to build the town homes and knew with all the certainty in the world of the impact of having a model home available for the prospective buyers to view.  In fact, so convinced, he had me do two different floor plans (hence, two model homes).
Here's the before … (13 comments)

home stager in atlanta georgia: What Rooms Should Be Home Staged? - 09/08/08 01:00 PM
It's a fair question and one I'm asked frequently.  In fact, on the two appointments I had this morning both homeowners had asked that very question.
And because it's an important question, I thought it beneficial to add that many home stagers offer a variety of options from which to select.  A home staging professional will also provide specific recommendations on what rooms would benefit the most.  This typically occurs after they've had a chance to see the home first-hand.
Now to answer the question, it's important to consider the following:
1.  What room(s) will the prospective buyers be entering when … (14 comments)

home stager in atlanta georgia: The Top 5 Reasons Why Home Staging is So Effective - 08/11/08 03:02 AM
I awoke last week to an email message from the Atlanta Journal Constitution asking when would be a good time for them to contact me regarding the Camp Creek Village town homes I had staged.  While the article itself will focus on the interior look behind the Mediterranean style I had used she also wants to feature an article on the effectiveness of home staging.  I'm anxious to have that interview and await the Camp Creek Village article which will appear in the Real Estate Section this coming Saturday, August 16th.
In the mean time, I thought it would be beneficial to all … (17 comments)

home stager in atlanta georgia: Feedback from A Prospective Buyer... - 06/23/08 12:41 AM
One of the agents I partner with here in Atlanta received feedback from a prospective buyer that pretty much sums up the challenges with showing a vacant home.  Here's specifically what was said; "
Another new home with lots of rooms, nice features, beige walls...they're all starting to run together in my head".
I can completely relate to this feedback.  As a home stager in Atlanta, I've been in hundreds of vacant homes and can attest to the fact that they all do start to run together.  Fortunately, I have my "before" pictures that I've taken to help remind me of … (41 comments)

home stager in atlanta georgia: Is Your Condo Sitting or Selling? - 06/15/08 01:07 AM
Here in Atlanta, we have an overwhelming quantity of condos on the market.  In fact, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, there are currently 9,000 on the market with another 17,000 planned units.  To read the entire article, hit the link.
Suffice it to say, if you're looking to sell, you're going to need to differentiate your home from the others on the market.  Once a buyer has chosen the location and the price range for which they're willing to pay you can be assured that they will be looking at several units and not just one.
Home Staging provides the greatest … (11 comments)

home stager in atlanta georgia: Model Home Staging - 06/08/07 11:17 AM
As a little girl, I would love when my mom would take us out and we'd go through model homes.  We couldn't afford a new home but that surely didn't stop us from looking and dreaming.   Little did I know that one day others would be looking and admiring my work.
And the icing on the cake - I get to save builders thousands of dollars in getting their model homes decorated.
So... in the spirit of Active Rain, here are some of my "after" pictures of the models I've been blessed to stage:
This is the first room you see when entering this … (30 comments)
