virginia highland home stager: Selling A Home With A Long Narrow Room

Yesterday, I crafted a blog post on my website AtlantaHomeStaging.net that addresses how to tackle a long narrow room. I thought it would be valuable to the Active Rain community as well given that there are many homes on the market that face this dilemma. First, here are two pictures that address the left and right side of the room. Note: The homeowner was in the middle of getting his home ready for the market. Hence, the drapes you see in the picture.

Morningside, with it's tree-lined streets, is one of the nicest neighborhoods in Atlanta. Located just north of Virginia Highland, and close to Lenox Park - it's an incredible place to live. It's also one of the neighborhoods that I've had the great fortune of helping sellers sell their homes quickly. For example, on Monday, I de-staged a home in Morningside. The home went on the market on a Friday and received a contract on Saturday. Tuesday - I staged this oh-so-cute home. Here are before and after pictures:

Virginia Highland Home Staging After Pictures According to Wikipedia, Virginia Highland, named after the intersection of Virginia Avenue and North Highland Avenue, was voted by Atlanta Magazine and Creative Loafing as the 2011 Best Overall Neighborhood. We staged this Virginia Highland home last week and am pleased to report that the agent, who held a very well attended open house yesterday, has two potential buyers with two more in the wings.
