Curbside Recycling in Dekalb County GA - One step forward! In an effort to reduce landfill disposal and increase recycling, last week Dekalb County voted to eliminate the fee for curbside recycling — and the vote was unanimous! As of 9/26/2012, curbside recycling for Dekalb County Residents is F-R-E-E! Now there is no excuse for Dekalb County residents not to recycle your boxes, glass, and paper!

Now that Christmas is over, most of us will be taking down our Christmas trees in the next week or so. I personally cheated this year and purchased a "faux" tree, but for those of you purists with a live Christmas tree, please consider recycling at one of the many drop off locations in Metro Atlanta. Through early January (most are thru January 7th), organizations and stores from all across metro Atlanta will be accepting live Christmas trees, including the most popular "One for the Chipper" program.
