Newk’s is schedule to open in the Heart of Auburn shopping center at 11 a.m. Monday, June 8th. Newk’s opened its first Alabama location in Montgomery in October 2013, followed by the opening of a second restaurant in Opelika at the Tigertown Shopping Center in March 2014. The restaurant is located on 340 S. Gay St., and will offer indoor dining for 145 guests and patio dining for nearly 30 more in its roughly 4,200 square-foot space.
