Auburn and Opelika hotels and restaurants are preparing for the expected influx of visitors in town for the Barbasol Championship golf tournament and taking advantage of the opportunity to showcase the history and pride residents have for the area.
Kevin D. Cross, CHA, general manager for the Auburn Marriott Opelika at Grand National, which is the official hotel for the tournament, said a majority of the facility's rooms will be for the players, sponsors and those affiliated with the PGA.
