Tree Giveaway in Honor of Arbor Day Feb. 25, 2017 Auburn, Ala. – Mayor Bill Ham has signed an Arbor Day Proclamation formally declaring February 25 as Arbor Day in the City of Auburn. In celebration, the City of Auburn Tree Commission will be giving away free trees Saturday, Feb. 25, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Auburn Kroger, Publix on Moores Mill and Winn Dixie on South College Street.
