Today, I was reminded of how fragile the ground upon which we stand is.  This picture was taken along the banks of one of the most magnificent bodies of fresh water in the world...Lake Michigan.  Standing at the top of the dune, my eyes were drawn to the sign asking us to stay OFF the Bank (Fragile Area).  You see, in some spots along the lake, there is a problem with shifting sand. Some residences have required significant under-girding to secure them from sliding down the hill.

I don't think it's just me.  But, I wondered if some of you are also having the experience of running into great potential home buyers, who are buying their first home, and have somehow  MISSED the news about the FREE money they can access if they buy a home this year?   Up to $8,000 worth to be exact!
This has happened several times within the past couple of weeks.  I've learned not to ASSUME that everyone who needs to know does.  I've started asking everyone if they've heard about it.  The other issue is that even those who have heard … (15 comments)
