Recently, I took a financial course for real estate agents, which was taught by the amazing Keller Williams instructor Matt Fetick. Sometimes, after I get off the phone with potential buyers who are inquiring about one of our listings, I imagine them having this conversation with a friend:“So, I was driving around Tulsa, just looking around for sale signs, when I came across a listing in the exact neighborhood I want to move to. Have you ever been inside a home that’s been foreclosed? In 2013, I had my first encounter with one in Bixby. As I put the key in, I noticed the door was already unlocked. A client and I were welcomed by the sight of empty cups, food wrappers, and liquor bottles scattered along the floor as we entered. At once, we realized that someone was illegally staying in the house; “squatting” is more common than you might think.
