If you want to buy a house this year and you don’t know where to start I would say start with looking at your credit score and report then call a Realtor®. A Realtor® can guide you through the process by having a buyer consultation with you. During your buyer consultation your Realtor® will discuss the home buying process and advise you about what you can expect.

first time buyer: Buying a House Without Representation will NOT Save You Money
- 01/02/12 04:52 PM
One of my clients recently told me that her co-workers wants to purchase a home this year, but he wants to do it on his own he does not want a buyer’s agent. Of course I asked "why would he want to do that?" My client said she thinks that her co-worker wants to save money. I proceeded to explain that purchasing a home without representation of a buyer’s agent to negotiate on his behalf was not going to save him money but could actually cost him money.

first time buyer: What if I missed the Home Buyer Tax Credit?
- 05/18/10 03:37 AM
You may be thinking about purchasing a home, but you missed the tax credit and now you are asking yourself, should I buy or wait to see it there is another incentive? Well, if you missed the credit no worries, it is still a great time to buy. Sellers know it is a buyers market and they are willing to work with buyers to sell quickly. In my opinion, this is a great time to buy! I know of someone who recently bought a new house for a third of the price the same home would have cost just 4 years ago. (0 comments)

Time is of the essence is a very important phrase when you decide to purchase a home. As a first time buyer you must be aware that there are time lines that you must follow. The clock begins to tick the moment you sign your buyers brokerage agreement and you MUST adhere to the time line. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE! Your buyers brokerage is signed for a specific period of time. This buyers brokerage agreement can be signed for one day or for one year. Generally my clients sign a buyer brokerage agreement for three months. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE! We (0 comments)
