Have you ever felt like Thanksgiving is supposed to mean the one day for us to be thankful for all sort of things---even our homes. By adopting a consistent daily attitude of gratitude over the last few years, I've become less hung up on what material things others may have and have become more appreciative of what I already have. For approximately six months we've had an ongoing kitchen remodeling and addition project that almost has driven our Fan District vicinity home bonkers. Fortunately, we recently switched contractors, and suddenly progress gained more momentum, and more construction tasks were being accomplished at a seemingly faster rate.

Lately I've noticed one of my neighbors on our block especially putting a lot of effort into to beautifying his front yard in our Byrd Park vicinity neighborhood in Richmond VA. I've noticed that he and his spouse even carried away some soil last week wrapped in a large sheet. It appears to be a very enjoyable family activity at his home.
