Every year we post a comprehensive guide to 4th of July fun on the North Shore. There's no shortage of ways to celebrate and everyone has their favorites, but the one thing you won't want to miss is the Coldwell Banker Precision Lawn Chair Drill Team marching in the Winnetka parade (see video below). You will be amazed by our talent as we march in formation and perform skillful maneuvers with our lawn chairs. We've added some slick new moves this year, too. Here’s the 411 on 4th of July fun on the North Shore. 4th of july: North Shore Independence Day Celebrations & Fireworks

I don’t know why, but I get a little nostalgic on the 4th of July, especially since I moved to the North Shore. I think it’s because we celebrate Independence Day pretty much the same way our ancestors did a hundred years ago, and I love the fact that we keep these traditions alive. Fourth of July is when our community feels most like a small town anywhere in the Midwest.
