So I know many of you are looking for that small town country feel and your looking in Georiga, Tennessee and the Carolinas. You don't have to go so far. Ok so we don't have mountains put we have what I call Florida mountains (hills). We are located only 2 hours North of Miami, and 1 1/2 from most major cities. Highlands County is a great place to live and raise a family. We have over 90 Lakes. Beautiful Lakes not a pond or drainage hole, real Lakes. Lake Placid is one of the highest elevations in Florida.
