Donna has a gret post here, and one that translates over to the management/leasing side of life as well. Owners must remember that tenant prospects have choices as buyer prospects do- and it's still a beauty pageant, folks. Clean places rent quicker than dirty, smelly ones. Ones free of clutter rent quicker than cluttered ones. Owners need to remember that they're not going to be living there anymore- so their "special touches" don't mean anything to prospects looking to make some place their new home. Great post from Phyllis here- and one I appreciate being able to re-post. The key, of course, is to avoid time on the market. Any time on the market means a seller is typically paying a mortgage he/she doesn't want to pay. Maybe they're eager to get out of a house they're in and into another one- hating to pay the tab for the place they currently call home. Maybe they've already left a home behind- and now they're paying the mortgage for their new home- while trying to pay the one on the house that's become "yesterday's news" to them. … (2 comments)

"Home values looking to decline again"..."More owners looking to lose their homes"..."The government needs to bail-out the less fortunate homeowners that can't make their payments".
