FAQ Series, Owner question:  Should I provide pool care?

Over the years, I've found videos to be very effective.  I don't make them as often as I'd like, don't make them as often as I feel I probably should- but I do tend to make them more often than 95% of the Realtor public.

There are both good and bad aspects of building a video library, though.  The good?  You've got a video library- most folks don't.  The bad?  The library has to remain dynamic rather than static- and … (2 comments)

Bullying and Cyberbullying... Just say whoa!

Whoa /(h)wō/: when used alone as a sentence, an imperative meaning "stop"

October is National Bullying Prevention Month- and throwing up a big "Whoa!" to both would do us all a world of good.  As with far too many other parts of the country, we in Central Florida have had seen our fair share of bullying and cyberbullying cases both visible and invisible to the public as a whole.

OK, grammar goes out the window at times- and Wacky Wednesday is one of them times.  No way around it, really- as the old "Here's your sign" saying just don't seem right when you try to go about correcting it for multiple signs and say "Here are your signs".

Nope.  So "Here's your sign..." dragged out with the "s" at the end is what I'm going with today.

It's my policy- you can cry if you want to

When it comes down to it, I really don't care about other companies' policies- and I probably care even less whether folks elsewhere care about mine.  That may sound harsh, but the truth often hurts.

I understand this might come as a shock to some folks, as it undoubtedly has to some of my tenant prospects over the years: different companies do things differently, and each one can conduct business however they dang well please.  Other than wanting … (44 comments)

Not exactly sure how I stumbled upon this site, but I’m fairly glad I did- if I can ever get “I’m just a bill” and “Conjunction junction, what’s your function?” out of my head, that is.

Serving on my association’s Governmental Affairs Committee and a number of other ones, I’d say I spend more time following legislation with the potential to affect the real estate industry than most folks.  Funny thing about https://www.govtrack.us/ though, is that it might actually cut down on … (1 comments)

Here in my hand rests a flash drive- there are many like it, but this one is mine.  It's a new one- and though 16GB isn't the ginormous amount of data it once was, this thing will hold a good bit of stuff.  I use Dropbox and fill that bad boy up, too- so I try my best to either use the flash drives as back-ups or to hold things for a short while until I've had a chance to upload the stuff elsewhere.

How safe is your pool area?  Find out when it rains?!?!

From what I've heard, folks in Southern California might be a bit confused by this video- as it contains a good bit of something called "rain".  I hear tell it doesn't really happen all that often in parts of the Golden State- but oddly enough, it rains a dang good bit here in the Sunshine State.
