professional: When Realtors Attack...

A great post there from The Christiansens. Might not be titled correctly, though- as in this case the Realtor was being attacked. Mr. Angry Unprofessional Clown Posing as a Realtor was doing the attacking. For the most part, I handle these in the same manner. Make no mistake about it- I'll Stand My Ground when necessary, but foolishness like this has no place in our business. It goes back to an old saying, though: you get more of what you tolerate. God Bless the Sanford Police Department Folks will notice a new logo/image at the end of my signature line for a while. It's the badge of the embattled Sanford (FL) Police Department. I will include it for an indefinite period of time as a showing of support for this local police force- a group of folks on the streets 24 hours/day in looking to both serve and protect all of us here. professional: It's time to fire your property manager

It's time to fire your property manager. That might sound bad coming from a property manager- but as long as the one getting fired isn't me, life is good. Over time, I've written and spoke a great deal about the positive aspects of property management (again- it is my business). I don't recall ever highlighting the negative side of the business, though- or of how having a property manager may add to an investor's headaches rather than alleviate them. It's been said by many that appearance is important, and it's tough to express how much I agree with that...but I'll try... I was in line at the 7-11 this morning, behind a good number of folks that clearly walk many different paths in their daily lives. Some folks were white-collar as me, some in gym clothes, some in their Dickie's on the way to work and some that proudly (or not so proudly) wore their employer's name plastered across the backs of their paint-stained T-shirts.
