OK, grammar goes out the window at times- and Wacky Wednesday is one of them times. No way around it, really- as the old "Here's your sign" saying just don't seem right when you try to go about correcting it for multiple signs and say "Here are your signs".
Nope. So "Here's your sign..." dragged out with the "s" at the end is what I'm going with today.
Now, the signs themselves... Jeez. I'd like to see how many folks have any dang idea what the (4 comments)
Can't really remember where I stumbled across this one- but whether it's designed to protect the ol' whitening strips from being swiped or the ephedrine products from the local 'hood's meth heads, design here seems a tad bit faulty....
Yes, it's (sort of) Wordless Wednesday (or Whacked! Wednesday) already- so I'll offer up this shot from a showing yesterday. When my prospects and I turned the corner to go into this Master bedroom, we had one of those awkward moments that comes along every so often on the showing trail...
"I'm not checking to see why that bed's lumpy" "Well....I'm surely not checking to see why it's lumpy!"
Then the lump moved. And moved a bit more....and the cat ran away.
(Almost) Wordless Wednesday: Sticker Shocker? Had a showing the other day... Turned the corner and headed in to show the prospects the home's spacious garage. The garage also held the A/C unit that bears the sticker shown here. Prospect's serious-yet-crazy question: "Is that unit efficient?"
Dennis' polite-as-he-could-be-while-trying-like heck-to-stifle-an-eyeroll answer: Yes- 100% is pretty tough to beat... (Almost) Wordless Wednesday: Sticker Shocker?
Wacky Wordless (or almost) Wednesday You never know what you're going to find when you visit a home for the first time. We placed a property on the market a few short days ago, and I had 7 showings set for yesterday- busy, busy, busy. I didn't sign up the listing, so my trip to the home for the showing was my first time there. I arrived a few minutes before my first appointment and made my usual trip around the place to familiarize myself with things, look for issues that might cause a (2 comments)
Hmmm...in what could be the wackiest of all Wacky Wordless Wednesday posts I've ever made, I offer folks camping on a cliff for your mid-week viewing pleasure. Now, I don't know who these folks are...but I hope they have good life insurance policies. Falling from 4,000 feet would surely put a hurtin' on you! Camping on a cliff- that about sums it up (4 comments)
Wordless Wednesday...sort of Some may have seen the photo above in a post of mine from years past, but many may not have seen it. For the "haves" and "have nots" alike, I've used it again- as it's a very special photo for me on this special day. Most will recognize this as a map taken from an accident report- one I had 15 years ago today. On July 25th, 1997, I had the first seizure of my life- behind the wheel and going 55 mph. This diagram shows the path my car travelled (2 comments)
wordless wednesday: Few Words Wednesday, America remembers 12/7/41...or at least we should

Few Words Wednesday, America remembers 12/7/41...or at least we shouldIt's sometimes easier to forget, but we must remember- and remember accurately. Long before Honda Accords, Toyota Camrys or Sony color TV's, there was Pearl Harbor. Lest we forget history, Japan of 1941 was our enemy- a savage nation whose military leaders carried out a strategically brilliant yet historically short-sighted attack upon our nation. While today's remembrances are rightfully peaceful and somber- and we do what little we can to honor our WWII Pearl Harbor survivors in their twilight of days, let us not forget that the morning of 7 December 41 was (8 comments)
wordless wednesday: Wednesday thanks- more than A Few Good Men
- 04/13/11 03:46 PM
"A Few Good Men" is a really good movie- but it's just that, a movie. Tom Cruise is one great actor, Kevin Bacon's proven to be more than the one-movie wonder many thought after "Footloose", and Jack Nicholson is surely one of the greatest actors of our time and made "You can't handle the truth!" a great companion to "Heeeeeeeeeere's Johnny!" in silver screen history. More than a few good men rest below- taken last July on a quick trip back to D.C. for a friend's Navy retirement. Arlington National Cemetery is a special place- one I use no cliche in calling (4 comments)
