The expectation of home buyers in Raleigh / Cary these days is far different than when many of us bought our first home. Remember when we thought we should stretch and buy whatever we could just to be in a certain neighborhood? Home projects seemed fun and a great expression of how crafty we could be. Now with multiple family members working and crazy schedules just to keep up, buyers are not at all excited about taking on home projects just after moving in. More importantly, with so much new construction in Cary to choose from when looking at real (0 comments)
cary: Cary Real Estate and Sir Isaac Newton…What do they have in common?
- 01/07/10 01:03 AM
"I can calculate the motions of heavenly bodies, but not the madness of people," Sir Isaac Newton wrote in 1721. One of the brightest people of all time, he spoke these words as he was one of many investors that lost their nest eggs in the "South Sea Bubble" This quote is timely for two reasons: Read this insightful post in full, posted January 4th, 2010 post written by: Barbara Green, Real Estate Broker in Cary, NC Barbara Green is a Cary NC relocation expert with unique knowledge of the Cary, Raleigh Real Estate market. email: Barbara@Cary-NC.com web: www.Cary-NC.com or just call! - 09/29/09 05:01 AM
Students of west Cary/Apex high schools score higher on SATs than the Wake County School avererge and the overall state average. Although there are many excellent schools throughout the Triangle, there are often a few that consistently stand out. The surrounding Cary neighborhoods offer beautiful homes in all price ranges. Outstanding schools and outstanding communities are among the top reasons many families have chosen to relocate here.

cary: Luxury Home Market, Wake County
- 02/21/09 10:33 AM
The Luxury home market in Western Wake County is defined by homes greater than $500,000. This segment experienced double digit growth during the years 2003- 2007. The segment was fueled by the affluent incoming population to Wake County from the northeast and the west coast, an expanding job market in the Triangle and remarkable Wake County Schools. 2008 resulted in a dramatic change in this market, with increase inventory (up 9% in Q4 '08 over Q4'07) and price drop sellers up to 71% of sold homes. Interesting however, agents that have priced homes correctly have actually seen success in the market. (0 comments)
cary: Sales in December Up!
- 01/31/09 02:46 AM
Sales of existing homes increased in December, closing a challenging year for the real estate industry on positive note. The National Association of Realtors reported that sales of existing homes rose 6.5%, an unexpected increase from previously forecasted numbers. Many buyers saw a unique opportunity in both discounted home prices as well as very favorable interest rates. It has been previously reported that new home starts are at an all time low. This is actually great news for current home owners considering selling especially in Cary NC where new neighborhoods have been abundant over the last 5 years. New construction presents difficult (0 comments)
Lease / Option In Cary NC where we expect our real estate market to rebound sooner than other parts of the county, a lease-to-own plan can be an ideal solution for both sellers and buyers. From a seller's perspective, it can tie in a buyer for a property that may not otherwise sell now. For a buyer, it can lock in today's rock bottom prices, yet the buyer does not need to obtain financing for a period of time. Here's how it works: A lease-option is a simple lease agreement where the buyer/tenant pays rent to live in a property for (0 comments)
