ponte vedra: Another Wonderful Weekend in St. Augustine and St. Johns County Florida

This is a very big weekend in Ponte Vedra with THE PLAYERS Championship Tournament. We plan on going on Sunday. It is always an enjoyable event. It is called THE PLAYERS, but old habits die hard and most of us locals still call it the TPC---sorry PGA Tour. But look at all the other fun things to do this weekend in the St. Augustine area. One can easily see why visiting here is fun, but if you are going to Move to Florida, you need to look at the St. Augustine area.
This weekend is a big weekend to promote Open Houses and Real Estate Bargains throughout the country and see homes in St. Augustine, FL. This historic event is strategically timed so Buyers can take advantage of the repeat buyers and first-time buyers tax credits that expire April 30th. With interest rates low and a supply of homes at all price points, you are sure to find your home this weekend. So get out and enjoy the weekend and the many homes on display.

Serenata Beach Club is a private club located on the Atlantic Ocean in South Ponte Vedra Beach, FL between St. Augustine and Ponte Vedra Beach. I enjoy many social events here including Tuesday Trivia, live music on many Sundays during the summer, Ladies Luncheon, the Book Club, the Artist Series, dining, happy hour, the hot tub and the adults-only pool. I also appreciate that they don't have a meal minimum and there is a full exercise facility with many classes at no charge. ponte vedra: Scenic & Historic A1A Meeting today at 3 p.m. in S. Ponte Vedra

Many people in northeast Florida traverse Scenic and Historic A1A in St. Johns County from Jacksonville, through St. Augustine to Flagler County, especially on weekends. This past weekend was no exception with the most traffic I have seen in a long time. It was a challenge crossing A1A to enjoy the beach, but it was possible and well worth it. With The Player's Championship in Ponte Vedra Beach, the Ancient City Crawfish Boil in St. Augustine, The Sunday Market in Vilano Beach, and Mother's Day, much was happening in our area. ponte vedra: Beach Renourishment - St. Johns County

Congress Mica held a Beach Renourishment roundtable at the GTMNERR on Monday, November 19, 2007 that I attended. He said the feasibility study would be completed in 2010. Then an appropriations bill will have to be passed by Congress. Not until the bill is past can the Army Corps of Engineers being work on the design and specs to fix the beach. After the design work then the actual renourishment can begin. So I am guessing 2013 at the earliest unless some severe action is taken to expedite the process.
