Last week I noticed another tin building across the street (Pleasure St) from this one. It is also tin and not used very much anymore. Look at the two. They look like twins! They also probably date back to railroad days and were on separate sides of the tracks.

I'd picked up my sign. I'd removed the lockboxes. REO's require two lockboxes, one for the service people and one for our MLS members. Some REO's are even requiring the crawlspaces and the worn-out outbuildings to be locked with padlocks. I'd removed them all. Getting back to my car I noticed something that I'd not seen before. Look at this.

Remember this delightful restaurant? It was probably Searcy's first Mexican food restaurant and I remember it fondly. However, I'd forgotten how it looked. I vaguely remembered driving out East Race Street and pulling into the parking lot. The whole thing is gone now. I can't remember exactly where it was located. It had 150 seating capacity and did business in the same location for 17 years. This picture and history was in a 1981 real estate brochure offering it for sale. No price was listed and the address was not listed. In fact, the entire brochure had great pictures but no (17 comments)
