Elvis Presley? Who remembers Elvis? The whole world remembers Elvis and I assume most of us LOVE Elvis Presley! I just discovered Elvis in another way. Quilt panels or other types of cloth panels for making memories of Elvis. Daughter is having an estate sale in Searcy AR on March 8, 9, and 10. She discovered a whole second building on the property that houses all kinds of fabrics, quilting supplies and even a giant quilting machine. There's an estate sale coming up this weekend in Searcy AR! The dates will be April 27, 28, and 29 at 111 Cloverdale in Searcy's beloved Cloverdale Subdivision. I got a preview because my daughter/associate is doing the sale. I saw these two pencils in a plastic bag with a price on them. Heard's Sausage!! What memories come back with that name! Searcy AR, in the 60's, had no park equipment or recreation facilities at all for children. Have you always heard this phrase? Find a need and fill it! Our small town of Searcy AR with a population of perhaps 22,500 has a need. We have several auction companies who successfully come to your property and conduct an auction that rids you of all the property that needs to be sold. But some people think that is rather impersonal. They'd like their precious things to be priced, and studied, and appreciated with lots of buyers. So.....our little town needs an estate sale expert! This great picture of a group of young women singing has surfaced. Look how small the stage was and how inelegant the steps to the stage were. And the audience was certainly able to see the "whites of their eyes." The only person that I can positively identify in this picture is Miss Ann Lacy, located on the left on the front row. The picture was early 50's, I think, even though no date is on it. Miss Lacy passed away earlier this year and taught school in the lower grades of McRae Elementary in Searcy Arkansas.
