This pretty old frame with an original pastel portrait of someone's child is lovely, I think, and was a common thing in days gone by. It was fashionable to take your baby's picture "naked as a jaybird" when cameras rolled around. And then in my case, kids would get older and you could threaten to show it to their boy friend or girl friend if they misbehaved! They would squeal, "MOM!!!!" Before cameras, the itinerant artist might come by your home and make a quick pastel portrait. We are familiar with all the grandma and grandpa portraits framed similar to (6 comments)
