miracle field: Fundraiser Dinner For The Miracle Field
- 02/21/15 06:03 AM
There will be a fundraiser dinner on Feb 28 to raise money to help build the Harmon Killebrew Miracle Field in Payette. You have a choicce of prime rib or chicken and Red Apple is catering the dinner. Plus, you will be able to enjoy the music of Raketooth! It will be held at the R&L Event Center (the new event center in Payette). I hope everyone will get out to support this worthy cause!

Photo from Miracle League of Payette's Facebook page The late, great baseball player Harmon Killebrew's hometown was Payette Idaho and his dream was to create Miracle Fields, where people with disabilities could play baseball. He and his wife created 12 Miracle Fields in different areas of the country during his lifetime, and now a committee in Payette is raising money to build one in Payette, appropriately named after Harmon Killebrew. The committee has raised $150,000 and only has $50,000 left to raise. Click here for a wonderful news story from KBOI Channel 2 about this terrific project and an interview (2 comments)
