process: Your Process Serves everyone - 04/25/19 06:49 AM
The best professionals have a process for everything they do. Airline pilots, re-fuelers, mechanics, and flight attendants diligently and precisely follow the same pre-flight checklist prior to EVERY flight. We all depend on them doing this thoroughly because the stakes are very high. If they get sloppy, we all might perish.
Same goes for Surgeons and Attorneys and Mortgage Loan Officers and REALTORS and auto mechanics . . . Well . . . and virtually anyone and everyone whose job is to serve others.
In every transaction , there are 2 things . . . The Process . . . and … (3 comments)

process: Eating an Elephant . . . - 08/04/13 04:52 AM
Do you know how? Regardless of your religious/Spiritual beliefs, there’s a message here worthy of your attention (IMHO)
There’s a little bit of everything here . . . even alluding to one of my favorites:
How do you eat an elephant?
One bite at a time . . .
It’s that first message that I think we need to hear most
How often do we take the easy/convenient route by “Picking the stuff that appeals to them (us) and bypassing the stuff they (we) don’t like?”
Yet we profess this desire for success which inevitably will require us to tackle many … (1 comments)

process: Setting up a printer isn’t what it used to be . . . - 08/01/13 09:20 AM
About a month ago, I decided it was time to supplement (Not ready to replace) my HP 5P Laser Printer (Manufactured October 1996) with a printer that could go faster.
Man . . . I LOVE that HP5P . . . For nearly 17 years, it has cranked out crisp black and white documents with virtually ZERO jams at an unbelievably low cost. I figure I’ve been getting @ 3,000 pages per toner cartridge, and the cartridges cost a paltry $18 from Amazon.com. For as long as this printer lives (and I can buy the cartridges), I’ll keep on using … (1 comments)

process: So . . . Do you ask your clients for feedback and/or testimonials after the closing? - 07/31/13 07:45 AM
The real truth is that I have NOT been asking my clients for feedback and testimonials after the closing. Why not?
I haven’t the foggiest clue . . .
REALLY . . .
Why would ANYONE squander all of that (usually) good MOJO while it’s still fresh?
Candid and Construction Feedback is INVALUABLE  (As long as you don’t take it personally). You can learn from it, adjust your process, and provide even BETTER than before for the next client. Keep doing that with every successive transaction, and your business will literally grow exponentially.
Of course, one of the hazards of asking … (2 comments)

process: Your Process Expertise is your best Leverage #in - 05/18/12 12:32 AM
Every job/profession has a “process” . . . The way things happen to deliver the service or product the customer/client expects.
The smoother the process AND the more pleasing the outcome for the Customer = repeat and referralbusiness.
If you want to be famous for ANYTHING, have the smoothest process of anyone in your line of work.
Other than pleasing customers, there are other reasons to focus on dialing in a smooth process.
LEVERAGE! Dial your process in so well that it hums along like a well-oiled machine, and you get to be calm, cool, and collected as you spend more quality time with your … (0 comments)

process: Thinking of Buying or Selling a home? The ball IS in your court! #in - 01/09/11 10:01 AM
Posted on January 9, 2011 by Barry Owen
All of us, regardless of our respective professions, have endured the whole gambit of trials and tribulations in the past 4-5 years as the economy has done what it has done.
There's plenty of finger pointing that can still be done, but what's the use of that?
The real truth is that we have just run through a veritable gauntlet of epic proportions as God decided we all just needed a strong dose of humility.
For many, the result is a feeling of "Helplessness" . . . That there's really not anything we … (0 comments)

Monday Morning Coffee - When the REAL Work Gets done #in
Good Morning!
It's a National Holiday today - Jessica's Birthday!
You know how "they" say: "It's the journey . . . NOT the destination" that counts?
I believe there's some real truth to that quip.
Last night, our daughters engaged in a very passionate (LOUD) verbal exchange which sounded a little like panic, fear . . . not knowing what to do.
I listened in.
Turns out the angst comes from figuring out what's going to happen with the bus seating on the way to camp this morning because EVERY … (2 comments)
