showup: Why are you here? - 07/16/19 06:09 AM
The invitation popped into my in-box, and the topic piqued my curiosity. I checked my calendar and confirmed that the day and time was doable, and I registered to attend.
At that moment of my choosing to register, the topic resonated with me.
As the event neared, I received a reminder email and was starting to have some reservations.
Who else will be there?
I’ve never heard of this presenter . . . Will attending this be worth the time and inconvenience invested?
I’m feeling less resonant with the topic . . . It’s been a tumuluous couple of weeks, and … (3 comments)

showup: Just confirming that your foot is on the gas? - 05/06/19 08:21 AM
This is the first full week of May! Are you busy?
What are you doing that’s making you busy?
Is it the right stuff . . . the stuff that results in making money and/or fulfillment?
Personal fulfillment is important, otherwise it’s just another day in the grind.
If you’re thinking: “Another day of drudgery”, what needs to happen to make it “Another day in paradise?”
Something I’ve noticed about happy and successful people (REALTORS) is this Spirit of joie de vivre which precedes them as they travel through their days. We can sense this fabulous energy before these folks walk … (2 comments)

showup: I Did NOT Want to do this today! - 04/24/19 06:30 AM
I did it anyway! My morning routine is a non-negotiable.
It MUST be this way because I know that, on those days I fail to do it ALL, finding FLOW for the remainder of the day will be a futile pursuit.
The cost of cheating is immeasurable in terms of lost opportunity, self-degradation, and the DANGER that playing hooky once will reprogram my brain into thinking that it’s OK to skip all or part of this critical morning discipline of spooling myself up Spiritually, Mentally, Physically . . . Once I’ve compromised this standard I’ve set for myself, I know that … (4 comments)

showup: What did I miss? - 04/09/19 06:55 AM
I hope you took good notes. Will you share them with me?
I had a schedule conflict, so I could not be there.
I really wanted to come, but . . .

Wait!
Let me see if I have this right.
The event was announced 3 months ago.
You were excited about it and registered immediately.
In fact, you are the one who encouraged ME to register.
Didn’t you have it on your calendar?

Oh!
Yes!
It was on my calendar, but something came up.

I see!
Something more important came up, Eh?
I’ll scan my notes and … (4 comments)

showup: Must you recreate the wheel? - 05/31/18 07:28 AM
Everyone knows that having the right tools makes a world of difference when tackling any project. At a minimum, not having (or having and not knowing how to use) said “right tools” contributes significantly to the frustration level of getting this thing DONE!
Worst case?
DEATH!
Of course, there are myriad tweens (Happenings in that broad spectrum between frustration and DEATH) that might occur, but I believe it’s an indisputable fact that having the right tools and knowing how to use them safely is 9/10 the battle of not only getting things DONE but also getting things done RIGHT . . … (1 comments)

showup: First – Show Up - 03/13/18 06:34 AM
If you don’t show up, what will you miss? Will those who do show up miss you?
Will they take good notes and share them with you later?
Why didn’t you show up?
What was it that was more important than showing up here with us?
Was it an emergent problem of epic proportions which threatened the safety and security of humanity?
Did you goof by committing to be 2 places at the same, and you decided to go to the other . . . or neither?
Think about this . . . How often do you not show up?
Unless … (9 comments)

showup: Don’t be THAT person! - 10/16/17 07:17 AM
Do you show up when you say you will? If you don’t, what do you say to the person whose time you wasted?
When you know that you’re not going to show up on time (or at all), do you call the person or people you are to meet and tell the truth or do you blame it on someone else or on “circumstances out of your control?”
Yeah! It’s easier not to take responsibility by shucking the blame off to the client who wouldn’t let you go . . . or TRAFFIC was just ABOMINABLE.
The truth is that the … (2 comments)
