It's time to bake that Easter Bunny Cake for this weekend.  My boys loved it when they were growing up!  This year I'm going yellow cake with chocolate icing.  You can use any compination of cake and icing that your family loves:

I'm going to continue the tradition for my 2 grandsons this year, ages 4 and 5.  After the egg hunt, a party with bunny cake
Ingredients for cake as shown in picture:
1 pkg. White Cake Mix
1 can Ready to Spread Vanilla Frosting
14 oz coconut
Food coloring
Chocolate chips
Jelly beans & red string licorice

Holidays are always a challenge for us a Realtors.  It never fails that when I plan to cook or have company, that I will get a call from that out-of-town buyer who MUST see my listing right away while they are in town for the holidays.  Some of my biggest sales have come during the holidays.  Maybe because I am one of the few Realtors working.

Looking for something a little different this holiday season?  I found a delicious fruit pie at a local Baton Rouge Bakery, Baum's fine pastries & chocolates, called Blueberry Crunch pie.  I call it naughty and nice because it is chocked full of delicious, plump, blueberries.  Blueberries are now recognized to have important health benefits, and have the highest antioxidant capacity of all fresh fruit.  I call it naughty because it is also full of carbohydrates and sugar.  But everywhere I go it is a big treat.

If you woke up this morning looking for new ideas for Easter dinner tomorrow, here's  I came across.
FIRST A BUNNY CAKE I FOUND IN AN OLD RECIPE BOX:
Ingredients for cake as shown in picture:
1 pkg. White Cake Mix
1 can Ready to Spread Vanilla Frosting
14 oz coconut

Ingredients for Chocolate cake variation  (You can change this to suite your family tastes, for example use german chocolate mix and frosting, etc.; here is plain chocolate):
