In San Francisco, the Department of Public Health will be providing free H1N1 flu vaccine to high-risk people. Starting Day Thursday October 29th for three days at the following sites
High-risk people All children age 6 months through 18 yearspregnant women Person age 50 years and older Person who have chronic underlying medical conditions (such as asthma) Residents of long-term care facilities Health care personnel Caregivers of children under 5 and adult 50 and older

Governments around the world are acting quickly to avoid a possible flu epidemic. The deadly swine flu virus can possible be transmitted from human-to-human and is believed that have killed 149 people in Mexico and is spreading to the United States, Canada and Europe. Seven cases have been confirmed in Southern California, Canada has reported 6 cases and one in Spain.
