Inspirational Homes of the 20's Still Standing! I just love driving around and taking pictures of older homes . I found two great sites and would like to share with you. I believe these older homes are very inspirational and bring us back to a simplier time. The first one just sold in Redlands, CA and will be rehabbed shortly. The second property is located in South Loma Linda, CA. It is just the barn as the house was torn down in the past 20 years. Still they are great relics of the 30's.

birds: Motivational Monday- The Birds and the Bees

The Birds and the Bees I forgot to fill the bird feeder this morning. When I went outside, this bird was just sitting there looking at me like “Hello the feeder is Empty!” I was on the other side of the backyard with no tripod but still this bird has the cutest expression and just the stance is adorable. Here is a close up of the little bird.
And here is the bees. I confess, I was at Lowe's in Redlands and they had all kinds of flowers with bees buzzing around so I took a few shots.
All of these pictures were taken in the Loma Linda area which has rural areas in the southern part of the city.
Note there are two animals in this picture.

∫What's That up in the Top of the Tree?∫ This week, while walking through a beautiful condo complex in south Loma Linda, I spotted this nest way up in the trees about 100 feet up. I could hear the bird up there but it never surfaced. I waited for over an hour so it is still a mystery. It is still intriguing and I will go back this weekend and try to find the owner of the nest!

Look What I Found at the La Jolla Beach……..BIRDS I love to go to La Jolla which is approximately 1 hour away, walk on the beach and take pictures of the beautiful coastline and all the birds hanging around.
I took this picture while in front of the local bird farm,"Bracken's Bird Farm”in Redlands, CA yesterday. Do you ever wonder what birds think of us? These birds were way up high on electrical lines and were looking down watching the cars driving by. Did anyone ever see “The Birds” movie by Alfred Hitchcock? Of course, these look like nice birds!

I found this great area while on a nature walk yesterday in the hills. I was sure there would be plenty of subjects to take pictures of. I couldn’t find a rabbit, a squirrel, no rodents anywhere and the birds weren’t even chirping?? How odd I thought but then as I came around the corner, I spied some feral cats hanging around. Some well fed cats I might add…………….

This morning I went out for my Sunday morning hike but took my camera instead of my dogs. They have a way of making the birds and other critters scram so I went searching alone for some inspirational pictures. My Special Humming Bird While sitting in my backyard, I quietly waited for this little bird to stop. As it was quiet, I could hear it buzzing before it arrived just in time to get the zoom on my camera adjusted. Humming Birds are so beautiful and graceful.
