Make a suet feeder from cardboard egg carton. Suet is the fatty tissue that surrounds the kidneys of cattle and sheep. A New Way to Sell Real Estate by Using Cats & Dogs Videos
We are always trying to think out of the box to stand out from others or to attract potential buyers for our listings.
This morning I saw where a real estate team had prepared two videos and posted to attract buyers. I believe this is very cute and these videos may go viral and hopefully get their properties sold quickly. One video was done with kittens they borrowed from a local shelter. The second one was done with a corgy dog who played a Realtor which I have included below.

Went out to a party after giving out candy and looking at Halloween decorations.

Here is the Beetle Juice Decoration in our neighborhood.

Here I am dressed as a flapper. I loved this period and wish I had been born at the turn the of the century.

calimesa real estate agent: Solar Eclipse Supermoon on Sept 27, 2015 was Unbelievable! - 09/29/15 08:39 AM
Hope you Didn't Miss the Solar Eclipse Supermoon?
Supermoon over the Inland Empire
On Sunday September 27, 2015 at 7:11 pm EST we had a double celestial spectacular event with a Lunar Ecipse and a Supermoon over Southern California. This moon is also known as a Blood Moon and it does look like one, doesn't it?

This first picture was taken just around 7:15 pm. After that, it became so dark that I couldn't find it for almost 1 hour but then it showed up again!

Then I took another one at 8:20 pm at the end of the eclipse. The Meteorologist on the television had said if … (26 comments)

Pet Safety on the 4th of July Weekend

Here are some suggestions"
Do not put your pets outside while the firework events are active. Do not take them to the fireworks display. Make sure they are wearing their tags in case they get scared and run off. If you are at home, spend the hour with them to keep them comforted. Do not let them go outside unless they are on a secure leash. Make sure your fence does not have holes that they can get through. If you find a dog, post it on Facebook and report it to Animal Control. … (4 comments)

Sunrise in the Inland Empire.....a Site to Behold
Yesterday morning I got up and went for a walk. Behind my house it is all rough terrain as they haven't built any houses out there yet. I didn't take my two little dogs as the coyotes roam that area and due to the drought are still up at 6:00 am.

Sunrise is spectacular and made me feel so alive.

As the moring pressed on I spotted a red tailed hawk but he was not wanting his picture taken so I got him soaring away for another spot to land away from my camera.

Pet Vaccinations Can Cause Emergencies...Beware of Dangerous Symptoms
Today was just a normal day and I had an appointment to take my two chihuahuas to the vet for their annual 5-1 shot and Rabies.

Of course they acted up and one slipped her halter but we finally go situated in the examining room and waited. Here is a picture of the two of them moving the chair across the room. The photo is a little blury as I had to stop them at the door.

The vet examined them and they gave each 2 shots and we left for home. *They were so noisy … (7 comments)

calimesa real estate agent: Happy Flag Day and Long May She Waive - 06/14/15 11:05 AM
Happy Flag Day and Long May She Waive
Today is National Flag Day as it was created by a proclamation in 1916 by President Woodrow Wilson. In 1949, it was established by an Act of Congress. Strangely enough, is not a national holiday

This picture was taken in Calimesa, CA yesterday as the flag was waiving in the breeze and was just so beautiful. While I was standing in the parking lot and getting my camera ready, it made me feel so proud to be an American while waiting for the perfect photo. It a flash, the flag makes me think of the … (2 comments)

calimesa real estate agent: Mother's Day Should Be Celebrated Every Day of the Year - 05/29/15 12:58 AM
Mother's Day Should Be Celebrated Every Day of the Year
Mother's Day is celebrated in the United States on the Second Sunday of May yearly. This year it was celebrated on May 10th, 2015 so most were buying flowers, gifts and taking their mother's out for a nice dinner to celebrate her day.

I personally think we should celebrate our mothers every day. We wouldn't be here if she hadn't given birth, protected and nourished us as babies and toddlers. And who made our lunches every morning to take to school in our lunchboxes, who cooked dinner every night and who yelled at us … (2 comments)

calimesa real estate agent: Squirrel Streaking Down the Road - 05/03/15 04:29 PM
Squirrel Streaking Down the Road

Today while outside fixing a sprinkler head, I saw something moving in the bushes. We get bunnies so I thought I had spotted a cotton tail rabbit.

Then all of a sudden, this squirrel pops it head out of the bushes. I ran for my camera and it started STREAKING down the street.

But then it stopped so nicely for me to get a few good photos. Thanks Mr. Squirrel.

And then he ran off. Bye Bye....

calimesa real estate agent: Spring is Coming and Africanized Killer Bees are in Neighborhoods - 03/14/15 12:50 PM
Spring is Coming so Watch out for Africanized Killer Bees

This week in Indian Wells, CA, firefighters had to be dispatched as a 71 year old woman who lived in a gated community was being attacked by killer bees as she was getting into her car. The other neighbors had run inside and shut their doors and windows and called 9-1-1.
Firefighters called the owner of a  company called Killer Bee Inc., who volunteers his services to the county and has 40+ years experience with tending bees. He found 75,000 African Agreesive Bees in the underground Verizon box. He sucked … (12 comments)

Purple Anemones .....a Great Plant to Put in Your Yard

We have had some really cold weather this winter and these plants have continued to grow and not freeze even in the snow one morning in January. Most of my other plants did freeze  so this seems to be a really hearty plant. And the blooms are beautiful and remind me of pinwheels.

During the Winter Months, Do Not Forget to Feed the Birds

I live in Southern California but even here, the food for birds becomes scarce during the cold winter months. I try to feed the backyard birds and also the hummingbirds who stay for the winter. Last winter, 2013-2014, when there was only about 10 homeowners in my neighborhood so we did not have many birds but this year we have over 50 homeowners and many birds stuck around for the winter.

I have some bird photos here from the Cornell Bird of Ornithology site.

Love is in the Air......Check Out Your Backyard
February is the month of love, and not just for those who celebrate with a Valentine’s Day card and a box of chocolates.  As spring approaches you may be observing some interesting behaviors exhibited by your backyard birds.

Birds have courtships? Courtship behavior is primarily used to attract a receptive mate.  Birds will perform a variety of displays in order to demonstrate strength and health.

This allows for the potential mate to ensure that they are selecting the best of the best!  Once a potential mate has been established, these … (9 comments)

The Ugly Christmas Sweater Craze is Back-
Do You Have One?

Everywhere I look, the ugly sweater has made a return and in a big way. Macy's has a retro kit to turn a sweater into a new design. You can order them on the internet or perhaps they are just in the back of your closet. It was discussed on the morning news and I included the video for everyone to watch.

Red Robin restuarant is offering an 'Ugly Sweater' special so if you come to one of their restaurants next Wednesday wearing your ugly sweater, they … (10 comments)
