I live in southern California so in the summer time we have some pretty warm weather a few months of the year, Aug and September, so I always feel fortunate when we have a rain or wind storm to cool and wash everything off. So a couple of nights ago, a wind storm just came up. I had just been to a class on videotaping on my telephone so I taped this poor tree being whipped around during the storm. Enjoy the video. The wind kept up for a couple of hours. (4 comments)
Be careful not to get near spider infested areas as the bite can be deadly. Everyone is familiar with the black widow but the recluse is just as serious.
The bite of the brown recluse spider is often not immediately painful, although a slight stinging sensation may be felt. If you can catch the spider, keep it to be identified by professionals. Symptoms include chills, fever, bloody urine, fatigue, jaundice, pain in the joints, nausea, rash, and in extremely rare cases, convulsions and death. The (40 comments)

Beware..... In the past few days or in the near future you may get an ad for a FREE Facebook application called “Facebook color changer,” which says it can change the color of your Facebook layout from the traditional royal blue to black, orange, yellow, green, purple, almost any color in the spectrum. Problem is, the app isn’t really from Facebook. And if you click on it, you’ll be rerouted to a malicious phishing site that may infect your computer and copy all your addresses. BEWARE: This email to the change (14 comments)
This is my favoritie time of the day as I love to watch the sun go down and if I am at home I like to sit on my patio with my husband and dogs and talk about our day. Also love to watch the hummingbirds stop by for a few last sips before nightfall.

My friends relayed this story to me as they know I am involved in rescuing animals. This story bares repeating♥ They went camping in Arizona and of course it is about 114 degrees in the daytime. They always take their two Yorkies with them but take extremely good care of these little doggies. Anyway, they went off to swim for a couple of hours and when they came back, on of their dogs was missing, little Diesel that weighs about 3 lbs. So they went down to the water, checked the area (19 comments)
The bunnies have gotten used to us as I am sure they think we invaded their territory. Now, they don't even run off but just sit there. This little guy last night just stuck his nose in the bush. He never did leave!
Here is a picture from the other night.
I am sure a big fan of living with nature and the wildlife in my community. Notice all the flowers are gone off my Praire (10 comments)
calimesa realtor: Today is National Take Your Dog To Work Today

Today is National Take Your Dog To Work Today Today is “take your dog to work today” which is a national program. They estimate over 1.5 million pet owners will participate today. I took my Chihuahua several years ago but she was nervous and growling so she now stays at home instead. Not all pets are suitable for this type of adventure and you must get your employers permission also.
How many have participated in the past years? How about today?
Go to the web site above and sign up so they (8 comments)
Yesterday I was picking up my dogs at 'Doggy Day Care' and this hummingbird was right beside me buzzing around. I took 6 pictures with my smart phone and 4 were missing the bird completely.
The top one shows the bird and the second one shows the edge of the bird on the left. I suggest that you always try to have your camera as smart phones are slower and I find that nature is quicker.
Note, it did not come out too bad but not up to my normal hummingbird (22 comments)
Last week approximately 2500 Realtors invaded Sacramento, CA to kick off Legislative Day and the CAR Convention. We met up in the Convention Center to see Governor Brown speak to us. Kevin Brown, our CAR President was the emcee to introduce many dignitaries and politicians.
It was a great experience and then we walked to the State Capital to meet with 4 Assemblymen/Senators and discuss 4 bills regarding homeowner's rights.
It was a fun day and then a big celebration that evening to all Realtors in the State (12 comments)

This was so funny as the birds were sitting on my new chaise lounge we put on the patio.
Slowy, Coco crept up to the glass door and then the birds were looking back.
They must have sat there for 2-3 minutes before flying off. So funny to watch!

This shorebird you can see without going to the beach. They are graceful plovers common to lawns, golf courses, fields and sometimes even in parking lots. They run on the ground in short spurts and seem to stop to check their progess. They prefer insects popping up so always on the lookout. If they are startled, they will fly off in a circular motion but not too far but move out of the line of percieved danger and then start walking on the ground again. They (18 comments)
While riding in the car on the way to the Grand Sheraton Hotel Monday, I saw this amazing mural in downtown area. It was on the back wall of Tony's Deli and the Masonic Temple near the convention center.
It was so amazing as it shows a masterpiece and then people climbing out of the picture on the ladder. How clever I thought so the driver stopped so I could get a quick picture. Sacramento is a lovely city and the state capital of California. I went there for (12 comments)
