- 01/23/12 04:30 PM
This month I am doing the 2012 January Blogging Challenge. One of the nine areas we have to blog about is “invitations” and then we feature them after they accept. Unfortunately I have invited quite a few people but no one has accepted yet. So our option is to write about one of our favorite bloggers. I have many so it was hard to narrow it down to one. I have to do 2 separate blogs so I am honoring 2 of my favorite ActiveRain members tonight…Part 1. Please go to their blog and check them out for yourselves. I think you (22 comments)
foreclosures: Would You Put This Picture in MLS?
- 08/09/11 04:42 AM
Would You Put This Picture in MLS? A few weeks ago I was searching the MLS and came across a house that was a perfect for one of my buyers. When I opened up the pictures to view the features I found 5 pictures and this one surprised me beyond belief. The other 4 photos were not quite as bad but pretty much the same.
Of course, I did not take my buyer to see this house as this photo was enough to say NO WAY; messy, dirty, smelly, maybe infested, no repairs or upgrades and “No Pride of Ownership” (23 comments)
Skechers USA began moving its products into the new 1.8 million-square-foot building in Moreno Valley that will house the international footwear company's North American operations on May 8, 2011. The building is nearing completion and should be fully operational soon. It takes several months to move in and complete hiring. The goods will come (12 comments)
The launch of a new full touchscreen BlackBerry Torch was announced today by Research in Motion, along with a slate of other new smartphones, in conjunction with the launch of the BlackBerry 7 operating system. The specs of the new phones are modest, as BlackBerry is a bit new to the whole "performance phone" bracket, but may represent a strong response to the negative vibe that has surrounded the brand in the last few months. While grocery shopping last week, I was standing in front of the frozen dinner section contemplating which Chinese Stir-fry to buy. I usually purchase the stir-fry bag that is made by a nationwide Chinese Restaurant. The man standing beside me said “Try this brand as we really like it and it is more inexpensive” so I chose “Sesame Chicken”.
Yum Yum! Looks good and very tasty!
Last night, I came home late and tired and said tonight I will try it. I did chop up a quarter of an Onion and sliced (3 comments)

You might have read in your newspapers and on the internet in the past year that bed bugs are back. Yes, we started hearing about them in the news about a year ago. The two main reasons seem to be more international travel into the US and pesticide changes. Apparently, bed bugs don’t just migrate to beds; they migrate to any place where they can be close to human contact so they can feed. Remember, the definition of bed bug is “blood-feeding parasite.” YUK!

I just got back from a vacation in Philadelphia, PA. It was a beautiful city and full of history. I spent the majority of my time in the downtown area and what a pleasant eye opener. One good site I found while researching this article was the Independence Visitor Center which is full of tourist information. Living in California most of my life, I had never spent much time in a crowded city. What I discovered was Philadelphia is full of historical buildings, street vendors, restaurants, stores, numerous hotels, condos and apartments everywhere and lots high rises.
Yesterday, I attended a Bank of America Short Sale update through an organization I belong to, NAHRAP. It was very enlightening and well worth my time. I say that as I am a seminar junkie, yes I admit it. I love to go to classes and add designations. But so many seminars I go to, I do take away some new tidbit or it triggers something in my brain to try. But honestly, sometimes it is really a waste of time and I could have used my day to (7 comments)

- 07/05/11 03:35 PM
Military Personnel "Cannot" do a Short-Sale & Foreclosure is Not an Option. It was reported last night on nightly news that there is a serious problem with military personnel who purchased homes after July 1, 2006. The evening story specifically dealt with the Las Vegas area but this is a huge nationwide problem with military families. Air Force Lt. Col. Mike Ballek, an F-15 pilot, purchased a home in a gated community just north of Las Vega in 2007. Since, the market began to drop drastically and he is now upside down on his loan. Ballek has been reassigned to Washington (7 comments)
